Prior to Update 11, how did you access your auto attack?

The toggle button on my hotbar. I’ve never moved it since I made my character.
This option doesn't make sense. The Attack feat does not automatically appear on the hotbar of new characters (it really should though).

    Thumbs up

If i can add some constructive criticism i would like to make developers know that the new UI has a cool and pleasant visual impact on players but require more room in the screen. This may cause irritation to low resolution/small screens users.

But it would be a shame to trash all the -good- work made on User Interface until now.

The right path to follow is customization in my opinion: let players decide how big are their bars and how many informations contain.

At least they will have to complain with themselves for any unfitting solution

You could have spent the time you used writing this to just take the survey and actually make a difference.

    Just sayin'.

Like numerous others, I took the time to fill out the survey, and I spent the most time on the comment box (I put in about six or seven items in there.)

    Done and done.

As far as the PMs go, I always ask up front when running one of my Divines if a Wiz is PM or not. if they answer that they are, I never give them a second glance through the rest of the quest/raid.

Also, I am a bit fail as I find using the F-keys to heal is a bit cumbersome. I don't twitch as well as I used to (**** getting old sometimes sucks) and would rather keep my fingers in the "home" position W-A-S-D for me anyways.

I haven't waded thru all the pages/threads, so apologies if this has already been thrown against the wall a few times.

Seems to me the best answer is to port over the functionality (in concept) that LOTRO has for it's UI. A toggle to unlock all the UI components making them all draggable, and sliders in UI controls to alter the sizes of most of the UI components.

Everyone gets to make their own UI fit their style. Win, yes?

Then, in a dream, I see the UI settings/locations being noted in local cookie so don't have to be reset em on each new character...

Not everyone wants to read a 20 page novel's worth of questions and surveys that are too long tend to get bailed out on after page 2 (especially when no incentives other than "the warm squishy feelings that come with helping" are offered). We added the open ended comment box to capture any pressing concerns that didn't fit in the first pass (which I full expect to see).
    2. Questions being absent from a survey has no bearing or relation to what feedback we've already gathered from users through the community or game. The UI and Design team has already received multiple reports on UI concerns. As I understand it, Madfloyd has some more tidbits to post in one of the existing threads, but I'll avoid further stealing his thunder.
Thanks for that. The survey seemed very short to my standards, but I am one that enjoys taking tests, so

As for the Party UI, the bars were compacted without means to lengthen or shrink them. I want a slider or dropdown or something. Something like the Gamma bar used solely for the length of party members' HP/SP/Ki bars would really shut down some of the debate. Furthermore, offering different UI themes or a means by which players can build UI themes that modify the general shape and tactile operation of parts of the UI (as I mentioned, I wanted radio-style buttons for my hotbar with campaign-pin type visual style and space between them. Floaty glossy circle buttons lined up in rows/columns) would set some of the option for meeting demand on player shoulders, for the more ingenious and time-equipped DDO members.

As for the rest, Repeaters are a little buggy on reload, especially when having to move over just a smidge while reloading (it makes the char reload twice), using Fusellade (the character appears to reload during the extremely short firing timer that rightly should be at bare minimum 10 seconds), and on Arcane Archers with repeater proficiency. A few ToD sets have been overlooked and some PrEs were left incomplete (Ninja Spy, Battle Engineer), but all in all I like what was done in the update.

On bugs, video and memory lag when switching characters has increased to a critical level. If more than one switch, then the entire party experiences lag. Please include a Buffer Flush button on the Character screen.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Some of us DDOers don't play LOTRO.

I hate setting up the UI for each new character, as it takes far too long to customize the chat panels and set up all 12 bars, the map, the new location of the focus orb and dice, and whatever else I do. I would LOVE a local cookie for the UI setup. This is a repetition of an excellent request.

I work in market research. This survey is sufficient to provide data for quant analysis.

I would recommend adding a "how long have you been playing" questions. It will help define subgroups that will yield significant differences.

    This.

I feel like there are a few more survey questions that I'm not seeing, and it makes me sad.

Akrites: 10 Wiz (TRed Bard), Oakianus: 20 Wiz and Odanta: 20 Monk. All on Khyber, because I love drama.

I wouldn't see a long survey for something you care about being "detrimental". Given all the impassioned posts on the forums about changes and suggestions for the game most people want to help make things better.

You could also toss in 25 TP for doing a long survey to satisfy the mercenaries among us. Even a 20 page novel's worth of questions would be less time intensive than a 100 favor grind.

Appreciate the survey and I've completed mine. Just wish that those questions would have been asked prior to spending all the time and resources into revamping the UI. Hindsight's always 20/20 though.

    Nicely done.
It's good to see you guys are working on it and also looking for the best solution based on player's experience as end users. I'm glad to help improving this game we all enjoy and I hope it works!

    Keep up the good work!

I like the short length but some of the responses could have used more granularity in the answers. Things like 'rarely' or 'almost never'. Generally at least a 5-step scale on those types of things would be good.

As an aside, pretty much the only time I use auto-attack is when beating on a portal or other static object that has loads of hit points and doesn't fight back.

Yea, I didn't really have a problem with the new UI to begin with. I couldn't really care either way. That was until you go check out Sarlona and the number of groups that actually have healers have dropped DRAMATICALLY. I was seriously surprised on how much that was effected. Maybe it is something else making all the healers vanish, but my bets are the UI has something to do with it. I ended up rolling a healer to level just in case my groups needed a healer... because yea... So sparse right now.

    Anywho.. filled out.
