In P&P you know targets because the pace is slow, but in game terms it happens like we do it in DDO - voice communications and in-game effects that mark a target.
Coming from LOTRO, it can be just the same fast paced fights that need quick communication. You can get by just fine without target marking, or target assist, but one does get a bit spoiled on it.

And usually, it seems to facilitate fights requiring more strategy, not less.

I'm glad you've listened to us about having surveys. That's great news, but the survey itself needs work. I'm betting it was more about how many clicks and completions you got than it was about getting UI feedback.

Anyways, it's a great step in the right direction. Keep it up

Actually I would just like the ability to drag to resize the bars as I see fit. On some toons I want bigger bars and on others smaller would be better.

I filled out the survery, I noticed that it already said 57% complete before I answered any questions though.

    This.

I certainly wouldn't want to fill out a 20 page questionnaire, that's for sure! Or maybe myself and others would, lots of people have been playing this game for a lot of years now Just saying I think the survey was too brief. Good to know forum feedback is being taken into consideration for any adjustments being made too.

I replied, although I think it doesn't really cover the issues many have with the new UI. But hey, at least you guys are asking... Two thumbs up for that Tolero!

Tossed my 2+cents into the mix...

I am hoping that all the missing questions about the UI were because they have actually been able to "hear" the complaints and are already addressing some of those concerns, while the questions remaining were those that the Devs had not seen discussed as much and that little consensus had arisen on how to handle those aspects.

Took the survey and made use of the comment box as well. Hopefully it helps and the UI in general will be better for it.

Please consider making a easily descernable change in the UI view, or HP color (with color-impared considerations made) for Pale Masters who are in undead form:

    1. Lengthy surveys can be detrimental to getting feedback. Not everyone wants to read a 20 page novel's worth of questions and surveys that are too long tend to get bailed out on after page 2 (especially when no incentives other than "the warm squishy feelings that come with helping" are offered). We added the open ended comment box to capture any pressing concerns that didn't fit in the first pass (which I full expect to see).
    2. Questions being absent from a survey has no bearing or relation to what feedback we've already gathered from users through the community or game. The UI and Design team has already received multiple reports on UI concerns. As I understand it, Madfloyd has some more tidbits to post in one of the existing threads, but I'll avoid further stealing his thunder.
#1. Agreed (work has sent us some doozies in the past that I found myself putting N/A in boxes just to get it over with).
-Suggestion: Maybe some targetted forum votes based on user suggestions? We'd all have to be mature enough to understand that dev's may not read the 1 million replies but lean on the votes cast on what Turbine's able to deem a hot enough particular UI element to get a clear temperature of our opion for.
--ex: Party UI bar vs. Personal UI Bar:
    Voting Options being:
Auto Toggle (switches based on party/raid membership or solo).
    Leave as is.

And I think it's great you guys are willing to at least take our opinions down and consider our input (whether some of the suggestions I'll be tossing in are feasible is another matter).

That's what I was talking about as well.
Guess I should have more clear.
Every healer (all 2 of them) that I run with regularly with in groups, stopped complaining about the new UI, after they tweaked the options.

As if the bazzilion threads telling you that it isn't any good were not enough....
Only a small % of players use the forums, and even less are very vocal on them. I'm sure those threads have the same people arguing with each other instead of a balanced view of DDO's community as a whole.

If your friends hate (or love, or don't really care...) the new UI, tell them to participate. Too bad it's not listed on the launcher screen.

edit: I really like Cauthey's suggestion up there.

I didn't see a "kill it with fire" option...

In all seriousness, making the health bars longer and having less space between them would fix 99% of all problems, fix the names in map and add purple to undead form for PM and I would be a very happy cleric.
