Not a fan of the new UI so I filled out the survey.

It was brief to say the least. Honestly I'm not too sure what you can gather from that survey other than the fact that longtime users don't like the new UI.

It's movable, takes up less space, which is great for raids, IMHO...the old UI took up entirely too much space, making it difficult to see whilst raiding.
What people are complaining about is not what you're describing, but the party view. The new format there manages to take up a good deal more screen real-estate and have smaller status bars for other players.

I also made good use of the comments box at the end...

I never know what to say in those additional comment boxes.

I want a UI that's more customizable though. The ability to resize elements, or adjust the transparency.

And perhaps not as important, but I'd love a target assist UI, so I can see what other party members are focusing on.

Put old UI back in place and add a mouse over function to see hp/sp numbers and we have a winner.

Took your survey, but I didn't use the fill in the blank box at the end. Perhaps I should have, but I'm not sure what I wanted to say would have been looked at with an impartial eye. Also I'm not sure I wouldn't have gotten my survey thrown out for inappropriate responses

    I <3 Surveys.

Done, although I hesitated filling in the end blank spot at all, given that my definition of inappropriate is apparently FAR different than ONE of the mod's definitions... (not you T)... and yeah, was concerned about getting all answers thrown out.

    As did I.

It was that last box which provided the place for me to provide the feedback I felt was important. The multiple choice questions leading up to it were just qualifiers for that info.
Shapshap, League of Extraordinary Ham, Sarlona and a bunch of alts that all have names begining with Sha or Sho. Of course Shapshap could be the alt and one of the others the main, it just depends on what day it is.

    done and did my part.

To thoses ranting this is not the place for your shameless diatribe.

No its not the perfect survey, but fill in the blank box. They understand the UI is not the best, and they want constructive feedback. They do not need more negative feedback in this thread use the other one unless it pertains strictly to the survey. Lets not be nitpick's and lets help them help us.

There is a time, and place for everything. This is not the place you trolls are looking for.

I disagree with the final point - and also with "target marking" (as opposed to spell and other effects that mark a target) as exists in other MMOs. I feel the verisimilitude would be hurt by such a change. In P&P you know targets because the pace is slow, but in game terms it happens like we do it in DDO - voice communications and in-game effects that mark a target.

Excellent, Tolero. Thanks for taking the time to listen to every one's opinion in a coherent fashion. Threads in forums tend to get, errr ... , too lively and passionate. Good on ya for making them into a survey.

    same.

I didn't hesitate to fill the ad-lib box, as I uses the party UI for a lot of things and right now it's near impossible to use it.

This could be a winner if you really want us to see the HP/SP of others :

I like this idea too. But I kinda prefer the new UI design. Remove the numbers but make them easily accessible thru mouseover, possibly make the bars just a bit longer so health levels are easier to gauge.

They may not be the perfect dev team, but it is clear that they're making an effort to listen and compromise with the community.

So Kudos and Good work Dev Team!

This. I also too the opportunity to provide positive feedback on the Party UI, with suggestions for improvements.
