PLIS without suppressed

So I took 9 months off from DDO, and logged in and started poking around this evening, with the intention of organizing my boys and playing a bit here on Cannith between classes, job, homework, and family (which means once in a blue moon, I suppose...). Found a Pale Lavender Ioun Stone without suppressed power in the bank of one of my alts.

I dunno if I'm gonna sell it or not, but anyone have a definitive answer (hopefully through direct experience) to whether or not it can be unsupressed? I've researched for an hour or two now, with no real strong answer.

I'm very definitely a non-uber, casual player (after three years my highest level character is 12th), so there isn't any chance I'm going to find out myself.

What do you say, folks? Should I toss it back in my bank as an odd curio from the past? Or is it worth something?

I will buy it! Otherwise you unsuppress it through the IQ line (7 of each essence) Wiki is blocked at work or I would copy/paste the exact instructions. You should be 18+ to do the quests and it will take a small amount of grind depending on rather or not you can solo the quests, need a party, or are in a guild etc. If you want to sell it send me a PM!

Ioun stones looted prior to U9 do not have suppressed power and, as such, can not be unsuppressed through the dreaming dark chain.

While I haven't tried it myself, I have heard that despite not having "suppressed" in the description, old Ioun Stones can still be upgraded.

awhile ago i gave a friend of mine on ghallanda server that same stone without the suppressed powers on it he completed the upgrade and voila it worked. from the reports he had heard its only meant to be some percentage chance that it will upgrade but he was stoked coz it was a free upgraded ioun stone well worth a try to upgrade it

Let me be clear here, folks. It is an OLD Pale Lavender, one that does not say "suppressed power" on it at all. And I can't seem to find any definitive answer on whether it can be turned into the unsupressed version anyway.

There seems to be a great deal of uncertainty, and no good answers..

Anyway, I wouldn't mind selling it if I can get a good trade offer for it, but I don't want to cheat anyone, and I don't want to get cheated. Very annoying!

Sell it as if it was a regular ioun stone (with suppressed power), but give the buyer the option to return it.

That way noone gets cheated.

I have personally seen and been in party with people who were able to upgrade the pale lavender even though it was the old style kind that doesnt have the suppressed power..

Discuss with me a value you would like for the ioun stone if it can be unsupressed. I can hand you that agreed upon value and then try to unsupress it. If it works, then done deal. If not, then I would like to hand you back the ioun stone for a refund. Sound good?

This is patently untrue.

The pale lavender ioun stone WITHOUT suppressed power CAN be unsuppressed.
