64 deaths and 119 minutes to complete, make sure ya dont make the same mistake as me, take plenty of ranged dps!

Beleieve it or not we only had 2 issues in the whole run, one being lack of ranged dps, which on hard wouldnt have been a problem but it seems on elite the HP's are doubled. And ranged dps was a key to my strategy. The other issue was the electric floor traps, there is a diagram over the masters head that shows where it is going next, which is definitely something that everyone is going to have to figure out. The damage difference from Hard to Elite is HUGE, we healed right through it on hard with maybe 1 death, but elite hits for 250-300 damage per tick. That being said, regardless of the strategy I think anyone running on elite or epic will without question have to have electrical absorption gear. This was our big stumbling point, we had 2 people with absorption gear that made it through to end, then we all got our resses and continued the run. Then it was just a matter of ranged dps being to low, the reason it to so darned long.

SPOILER WARNING: dont read below if you want to figure it yourself.

The 5x3 crystals above Toven represents the floor where the party is. Prior to the electricty coming, a pattern will appear, showing how/where/when to move on the grid to avoid the electricity.

There are 3 patterns that we noticed: waves, alternate, cross.

wave: the electricity will either go from col1 to col4 then back from col5 to col2 or the other way around (aka from left to right then right to left, or from right to left then from left to right.).

alternate: col2 & col4 will have electricity, then a stop, then col1 & col3 & col5 will have elec, etc couple of times. This patterns end in an infinity symbol, meaning col2/row2 & col4/row2 will be the only spots safe at the end.

Cross: row3 and col3 will have elec, then row3 and col3 will be the safe place, etc... At the end of the pattern, only 1 of the 4 corners will be safe.

Ya, it looks like its doable, the problem is successfully communicating to the party where the sage love are without mass deaths, it will take a good system that has yet to be developed.

Between each pattern, gather to the middle, and have everyone look at the next pattern. It is actually pretty easy. If needed, go in on norm and dont destroy the crystals, just practice it. 1 or 2 ppl on voice are more than enough to direct the party nw.

    Good luck

    Default Find the Sweetspot

I agree with Nich, we HAVE to find the sweetspot(s). And btw 64 deaths was better than the 1st normal deaths of 94. Still 64 is UGLY, not that I contributed to the Death Toll or anything but still. I found that ELITE run to be a great effort by all those involved. Casters, melee's, and 300hp and less toons alike. I had a great time and look foward to doing it again on EPIC, minus the gimp we had with us.
