Oooh good stuff! Now... you have to take time to *gear* it :P

Very curious how these play at end game. Mine is level 7 holding 8 and it's the first non evasion toon I've played for a while and first serious pew pew pewer...would love to hear how you are finding it to play at those higher levels. And anyone else up there. What do you find yourself doing in various situations?

    Default end game

So far, when my buffs run out i run around in 911 mode trying to heal and rebuff.

Elite the xbow becomes less effective as i miss more, and the bb seems to do only half dmg on elite as well.

    Hard difficulty is fine.

Normal its a death fest for the mobs.

Not having evasion is a big drawback. The fact that it is not well known that fleshy artificers can be healed via repair spell is a drawback in some situations, esp. when the caster and i are the only ones around.

Luckily since traps hurt so much now ppl are more willing to let u disable them b4 running through them. Which can be helpful. Esp when the trap activates over the trap box.

Biggest beneficial buff has been invis, as it lets me get close to casters and neutralize them.

I try not to forget the rune arm, mainly coz it rox.

I find that in higher end content i play a very specialized support role. Blown to Bits on elite, and mainly buffed and healed the WF. My presence was felt as i could BB on the fire bomb golem too.

Some of it is being undergeared for sure.

Essentially if by gear and TR one could get respectable DCs and exceptional to-hit ur experience would be the same on every difficulty except the mobs would take longer as u increase the difficulty of the dungeon. And really that runearm comes into play alot.

    dont forget the runearm.

Although u dont have evasion. a monk splash TR WF dex based could get alot of AC, as u can cast a construct only barkskin buff.

I havent played the class long enough to pass this stuff off as good advice , only as things ive noticed.

the wind rushes out of me and i collapse from too much thinking. FADE TO BLACK.

This is good actually. I learn heaps watching others play - this time we're all learning together. Thankyou for responding about bits and pieces

I really don't want to take construct essence if I can get away with it. I have shards from past life to make a smoke hp item but that's not evasion. Interesting to hear you plug the runearm. I am finding it makes me slower so unequipped it. Not sure if that's a bug

It's a (25%?) movement reduction to move while the rune arm charges. Taking the advice of another forumite i set the key bind onto my mouse. Specifically scroll up... it makes a huge difference.

I will also add that rune arm damage is superb, with the rune arm out of tangleroot, Khyber's Fury, i fire at around 30 dmg with a (free!) fireball.

    @lvl 7 now

Hmmm. I need a pendant of time on my FvS - should go get that. Can't quite solo that on elite with my arti yet

    Gratz.

Too bad I don't have you for the rest of my TR run.

Was great fun as always my friend.

See you in 3 lvls, unless I knock the dust off another toon.

Hey wait...does this mean I am stuck with Madam Veritas now????

    Default My experience so far

The rune arm damage is very good.

The Devourer's Hunger from Co6 does a triple cold shot for ~90 points each bullet things, and it's even easy to aim.

The Into the Deep one is also a huge winner; the blast is less damage and a bit wacky with bullet distribution, but it's also a ~50 point a pop x 3 when charged.

Both of those rune arms add 2d4 of acid and cold respectively to every bolt, so you really should at least equip one.

The blast function of them is purely situational, and I find I only ever use them on either a single big bad mob, or a room packed with mobs and just shoot into the middle.

My hottest tip (at level 9 Artificer) is to find the auto-charge runearm thing, and put it into a dusty corner of your hotbars for probably use at an indeterminate date in the future, but otherwise leaving it the hell off; the run speed decrease is a deal-breaker for constant use.

EDIT: Devourer's Hunger, not house P one.

In Von 3 the breakables in the Troll Ambassador optional room are slow to get to and unnecessary for ransack.

You just liked watching him die in the traps when he had to go through the trap to get to the box!

Was good to run some of GH with the 2 of you, but now I am stuck with Nasryn for the last few levels.

He stayed up countless hours to accomplish this. There was a day where he was up at 8AM and didn't go to bed until 8PM the next day. He's lucky I play this game too & I'm understanding, lol!
