    You mean other then the fact it has the stats of a large shield? and that it doesn't require towershield proficiency? or is it that is says "small shield" on it?

    So what's the heavy shield, then -- a tower shield?

    lol and turbine wonders why theres not more sword and boarders raiding.

    I looted one of those but never looked closely at it..

    Quite messed up stats.

    Hvy shield i also looted and didnt notice anythign wrong with, but i also didnt look very closely at it.

    Item type : Small Shield...?

    This meaning it,reduce damage 10% by shield mastery.

    I did verify and it is functioning as a small shield for purposes of all feats.

    I'm really nervous about upgrading this as I do not want a future fix to wipe my hard work. Please advise!

    well, was interested in the next new tower shield to replace leviks.
    thought alchemical might prove useful

    They've been fixed and they're pretty decent, 9 DR, 9 shield bonus and 2 Max dex bonus. Biggest issues are no mithril and less DR than Leviks so might be better off with something else depending on build.

    If its a picture of one in the bank.. do me a favor, pull it out into character inventory, and THEN look at it.

    I know they did an UN-announced fix to alchemical a while bag, but it doesn't effect the item until you own it.



    Admittedly the DR is still ATROCIOUS for what's involved in getting and upgrading one. But last I checked (U 11 maybe?) they auto-fix when acquired.

    I expect tower shield to have 14 DR and not 9 when my buckler (!!!) have 8 DR...

    the 9 DR is a REAL let down.
