    Arrow Is DR worth it?

Recently I've been thinking about tr'ing my pally into 18pally 2monk WF. From what I understand WF can get a pretty high DR. So if I got shield mastery and imp shield mastery w/ some WF DR echancement's would It be a decent tank. I'd go DoS 3 ofc.

Warforged DR comes basically from Adamantine Body (3 DR right from start). This locks out all monk benefits. Without adamatine body, the racial DR (from enhancements and feats you DO NOT have extra to expend) is very low.

Docent of Defiance is another beast to slay, and is worth every point. Also, that DR do not stack with WF inerent DR.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

Warforged dont actually have any dr. Adamantine body is a waste of a feat for each and every class except debatably pure FVS.

Warforged 1DR/adamantine per rank (2 4 and 6 ap each!) do not stack with anything other then blocking and are basically worthless.

Dont play WF for DR. they aint got none.

'cept docent of defiance, which is a Docent that can proc a 20DR/- and is fairly easy to maintain. It does however gimp your movment speed and there is no way to reverse that effect.

It also means not using a better docent, such as a DT.

    not worth it imo.

Even if warfoged DR/Adamantine enhancements were half their price, it would still be a waste of AP.

Where do people keep hearing that WF have "pretty high dr" ?
    Eulogy- oh ninety eight

Looking at your plans I'm wondering do you want to go for max survivability or max damage? Cause there are really nice builds for bout. I'm looking to TR my monk in to a Emerald build max survivability but knead a lot of gear to pull it out. Personally I think that migth be the way to go cause DoS is much about the ac but can made into a really nice dps too but it's your call.

Edit: ou right the original question it's not worth it and wf are ugly. Basically you loose cha and wis that are bout really beneficial to you. Cha saves, smites, layonhands wis saves, ac

Actually there are fighter builds that can use WF DR effectively due to the feats.

It is posssable for a WF fighter to have 2 (adman body) + 3 (enhancements) + 6 (feats) = 11DR

This is a bad idea as you can't take any toughness feats at all. You can get 10DR and toughness using all the fighter feats to fill in the needed everything else, but the cost is very high.

One person also said that with adman body you loose evasion and monk wis bonuse to AC ect, ect, ect... which is correct

Fighter is really the only class I could see this as an option for.

Hmmm I saw emerald but I'd turn that into dps and forget about AC.

    Is DR worth it?
    HECK TO THE YEAH!

Is it worth choosing WF as your race in order to get some extra DR?
No, not really. Warforged DR doesn't stack with most other sources of DR, so you're probably better off getting some armor of Invulnerability (or a Bladesmark's Docent if you do happen to be Warforged) for the lower levels or even some Adamantine Full Plate armor. At the higher levels, Stoneskin and Angelskin and a Bard's Ironskin and similar spells will provide you with DR that is effective and you can also get a spearblock item to greatly reduce the pew pew pew damage that you take from Orthons and other annoying archers.

Pure WF FvS. or a WF with the DoD.

other than that you shouldn't focus on race for DR. Just because it wont stack with anything unless you are a WF FvS.
