If we're gonna have ridiculous 80% fort bosses, the time is right for ubber-melees wielding dwarf-axes.
Make it so for U12.

(Say): Haywire says, '"Hey, I don't come into yer home and play with things."'
I'm guessing that in 6 months, the only melee class still played will be monk.
Um.... you do realize that Dwarven Defender is more of a tanky kind of....well Defender.

When Stalwart Defender was announced it was presented as a Dwarven Defender without the racial restriction. But dwarves were supposed to get it regardless of class, just like elves can take Arcane Archer even if they don't have enough Ranger levels to qualify, or even any Ranger levels at all.
But that was about 2 years ago. We've seen all 3 tiers be released and even seen the stances buffed. But we still haven't gotten the Dwarven Defender. I just think he's saying that it's time to give dwarves their PrE.
I understand the idea behind wanting more racial PrE's but dwarven defender is a ax and board type of character unless they change it completely from the pnp version (Link). The main ability of the class is basically the defensive stance that fighters get from their PrE with a little passive DR and bonuses to trap saves. The last part I could see uses for with the two types your using but what would you have to give up to get it not to mention the base requirements for the PrE itself which will most likely be Toughness, Dodge, and Mobility.

It was explained some time ago that it would function similarly to the fighter defender PRE, without having to nail it down to the fighter or paladin class.
IMO, if they want to leave hOrc so far ahead of everything else in DPS its fine by me as long as there is a reason to play other races. Dwarves being the best multiclassed tanks is in the spirit of D&D.

~~The House of Caedes~~Thelanis Server~~Krune~~Krunex~~Krunem~~Krunez~~ & many more " You can have my Dwarven Axe ,When you pry it out of my cold dead hand"~~" May your foes lay at your feet & your coffers be full"~~
I would definitely reroll my half-orc 18/2 barbarian/fighter as a 18/2 dwarven defender, but I doubt one could be raged and in defensive stance at the same time.
But I'd love to be able to switch between full out DPS, and AC tank mode...
(Yes, an unraged barbarian can get a pretty decent AC if you gear out for it)
