    Default Rocks

    Rocks are tough. Very tough.

    You probabaly cannot cut one with a knife, or even a Katana.

    The harder ones will even shrug off blows from most hammers.

    But they don't "do" much.
    Just kinda sit there and look tough.

    Yeah, you can pick up one and throw it at someone.... and it'll hurt.
    In fact, it can kill! Throw a big enough rock, or a small one with a lot of force, and it can definately kill!

    But...that's about it.

    You can't do much else with a rock.

    They don't sing.
    They have no herbal healing properties.
    I've never seen a rock on a stage trying to do a magic trick.
    Never caught one sneaking into my house and trying to take something...

    They aren't even much fun to play with.

    So....when I imagine being someone else....something else.
    When I imagine having a cool, interesting, glamorous, adventurous job or lifestyle...

    I have never....

    had any desire...

    to be a rock.
    I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

    yet there are many types of rocks. Ask any geologiest (spelling?)

    when broken
    some crack
    some flake
    some turn to dust
    some get sharp edges
    some get nics
    some split

    rocks different appearances
    some are dull
    some are shiny
    some are clear
    some are pink
    some are green
    some are green

    rocks can be used by them self, but are best served with combined with other things to do wondorus things.

    Just like people rocks can not be put into one mind set and condemed or praised for being what they are.

    Shapshap, League of Extraordinary Ham, Sarlona and a bunch of alts that all have names begining with Sha or Sho. Of course Shapshap could be the alt and one of the others the main, it just depends on what day it is.

    saddest thing is, most of these rocks took a very, very, long time to get where they are today, forged with materials gathered in the most hellish areas of the earth. they could have specs of gold, silver, platinum, even diamond- but it's forever wasted in a rock that sits there and does.... nothing, but sit there, unchanged.

    pity. under the right circumstances a rock could easily become a gem that could contribute so much more than just sit there, and stand the test of time and environment.
