    About build tactics:
    master touch + insightfull strikes with a melee weapon when melee calls.
    always using insightfull damage with a repeating bow for dmg.
    (lets wonder im using a light repeater +5+any elemental dmg 1d6):
    1d8 +2(enchancements)+5(weapon) +2from prestige enchancement +13(int) +1d6 (any other elemental dmg, from spell) +2d6 (point blank feat) = medium dmg 35. (3 hits from "repetear")

    alot skills, high UMD, enough hp, also cool rune cannon XD, some boots on electric spells.

    PS: before someone asks: "why past life bard?" ... uhh... because i was a bard?
    PS2: sry if this post is a mess. is hard to plan without ddochargen, on microsoft word was kind pretty.

    You probably don't ever need to melee when you could be shooting really close intead.

    You are within 1 pt of having 19 dex for improved precise shot but aren't taking it.

    You probably will use your bow more for damaging stuff than sp so storm damage << repair enhancements. You also want to buff your blade barrier damage.

    You don't need arcane fluidity with medium armors (mithril full plate) as an artificer.

    Extend is not needed.


    And a variety of other multiclassed toons without vowels thnk/r/s/rbll/sgmp

    ty. let me explain. im kind old in DDO, and very old in P&P. but in ddo i never made a ranged char (honestly i dun like too much), and never played eberon on P&P always forgothen ^^

    so, as jack the rippe rwould say, lets go by parts:

    since i never used any ranged, i read improved precise shot description and i dun figured how good could it be. it really worth the feat?

    u think that i should take repair or force instead eletrical enchancements?

    artificer dont have ASF with medium armors, like bard? u sure? so, why he gets "reduce arcane spell failure from armor by 10%" from prestige enchancement?

    why extend is not needed? his buffs can't be extended?

    Unless this was changed, the mark of making is only available on humans, helves get the mark of storm.

    Other than that, the feats look good for what the arti is able to do. Not having played one myself, however, I'd get a second opinion.

    Improved per. shot (IPS) can be very strong and powerful is some stituations. Say your kitting a row of mobs, and you target the guy thats last in the line of these mobs. While your running away from these mobs your shooting the guy in the back but doing damage to all of the mobs in your line of fire. Or lets say your in VoD, your close to the boss shooting him (for the point blank shot and the heals) and trash comes up. Well, thanks to IPS all you have to do is put the trash between you and the boss. I have also heard that IPS works quite well in the Titan raid.

    As for the arcane spell failure... my arty was running around with asf of 30% on his armor and didn't make a single roll or fail a spell. Now if thats a bug or not... I'm not sure, but thats how its workiing right now.

    Currently exstend dose not affect arty spells. But, they do have a min of 5min on most of the buffs you'll be using at low lv's (my arty is only lv 8 so I'm not sure about the higher lv spells).

    As for the element you put your enhancments into, base that off your play stlye. So far I love my fire torret, my ball lighting, and my repairs, but with every spell lv that list grows... so I'm not sure how I'll end up quite yet.

    And yeah the dragonmarks of making are human only (but this change might free up a feat for you grab IPS).

    Please note, i havent tested this yet on a artificer but. The ASF may come into effect when using wizard scrolls like fire shield for example. Pretty sure i've had ASF when using some scrolls on one of my bards and also FvS when wearing medium armour. I beleive artificer infussions are not subject to ASF the same as divine spells.

    Looks good.

    For your two "?" feats how about quiken spell and for the other wepon focus ranged, quikdraw, skill focus umd, or hieghten spell.

    As for the enh I belive your right, but again you'll figure it out with your play style .

    No point in human? Epic Beard lol

    Armor mastery? No, I wouldn't see a point to that either.

    P.S. @ Lupus: Thanks for the heads up on the ASF for scrolls. I would never have thought of it as I have only UMD'd scrolls on my rogues (in light armor). +1 rep for that

    Default standard range feats

    Hope this might help you out..

    standard x-bow range feats are:

    rapid reload
    rapid shot
    precise shot
    improved crit ranged
    improved precise shot

    post u11, think of the x-bow usage as 2 parts. Part 1: shooting, rapid shot increases this speed, thus faster damage and more dps. Part 2: reload, it is separate and can be interrupted. Rapid reload effects this, faster reload gets back to the faster shooting, thus more dps. Precise shot means that the target picked is the one hit. This can be important to not allow other mobs stop you from killing the caster or in a group, taking extra aggro when trying to peg the guy in the back and hit the meat in the front. I believe improved crit is a "duh" thing, wider range crit is your friend and as it's all ranged, that counts for any x-bow or bow which is a nice bonus. Imp precise shot is one of those things that really understate what it can do in it's listing. IPS means any time you line up multiple mobs with it on, they are all getting hit. Every shot, as long as you're shooting the guy in the back. Want to talk DPS spikes? Even if you put aside the numbers, it is extremely useful for kiting when solo/short man and can pull multiples to you. Slow the one in the back, line them up and have a non-sp aoe.

    I had a repeater rogue before U11, changed to assassin, miss the repeater, heh. I would definitely recommend getting to that 19 dex via stats/tome if possible for IPS.
