I took a pretty long break from the game and came back and started to conduct account maintenance, I have two mules FULL of **** that is either decent enough not to vendor or rare enough it would be a crime. Im lazy, so lazy in fact that posting endlessly on the AH is not appealing. I've seen tons of "clearing the bank threads" over the years, that process IE; compiling a list checking it twice , checking Pms mailing items etc seems even more atrocious.
While I sit here wasting time until I can go home and log in, I had a thought that it would be fun if Stormreach had a flea market. You know buy/rent (via plat) a stall that maybe has 20 spaces throw stuff in people could just check out whats there pay the listed price and my inventory would be cleared and my hard won loot would have a new home with someone who appreciates it.

I'm sure the logistics and coding would be a nightmare but this was just a day dream. I also know that with things not working as intended and other things that need to be added to the game it seems like trivial fluff. But they changed the UI and what is that if not an example of development time that could of been put to better use elsewhere?

I like this idea. It's similar enough to the auction house that it may not be necessary but it sounds more fun. The only problem I could see with it is it would be filled with piles and piles of mostly junk from the harbor so browsing randomly would just hurt. If it had a search that worked well though, it could be a great place to trade off your high profile items like scrolls and scales without having to resort to going out of game to set up the trade on the forums.

They had a similar functioning tool in FFXI, IIRC.

You went and parked your character in an Auction area and set the character to sell.
That character logged off and the items you wanted sold were viewable to the public for them to buy.

The downside was you couldn't go questing with that character unless you packed up your "tent" and went outside.
