Default Bank Audio Persists After Exit

I've done some searching (albeit quickly) regarding this issue, but could not find anything about it.

Has anyone else noticed that once you exit the Bank in the Marketplace, the audio persists and is overlaid on all other audio? It has followed me everywhere...into the taverns, quests...everywhere. I've logged out and back in with no change.

If there's another post somewhere, I apologize. Any thoughts?

Yeah happened to me too. In fact they keep layering on top of each other! Music Off.

I've had the same issue quite frequently since U11 hit, but with more then just the Bank noise. I've had airship ambient noise follow me around, the Tangleroot outdoor music continue inside the quests out there - and more.
    Very annoying.

Indeed. We should take a vote to see which is more annoying, this or the mousewheel zoom lock... In any case, both deserve to be hotfixed immediately.

You can get around the mousewheel zoom in /out I have never changed the default arrow keys from my up and down arrow keys on my keyboard, the little arrow pad between the main keyboard and the numpad.

But agreed, I use the mousewheel constantly changing my zoom and it is quite annoying to be stuck at one zoom.

Thanks folks! I'm glad I wasn't just hearing things.

    I agree Memnir...very annoying!

Has anyone submitted a bug report yet?

I have this about once every couple days.

Attempted to submit bug report, but bug reporting appears bugged as well.

    Default Dev Comment?

It would be nice to have a Dev comment on this. The bug is really with sound effects, and they will often overlay with quest sound effects once you're in the instance...very annoying.

I often get snippets of the crowd noise from VON 1 overlaid on other sounds. It isn't more than two seconds, I'd guess closer to one. Been going on for a month or two, I think. I just tune it out now.

When I exit a quest and then ALT TAB to check my email or something then I come back to the game I get a random selection of samples of the DM talking about the last quest.

Yup this is happening and can be replicated easily. My guess is, it is taking resources somewhere. I am assuming that some resources are not properly closed or released.

This. Almost every time. If i'm in a quest and complete it, leave ddo running in background to check mail, watch you tube, play another game, etc...when i go back to ddo, regardless of how long it's been, i get some type of spoken text, just as Limey said above.

I've found that the new'ish quest, the last one with the mindflayer, he's got to be the most annoying one to hear, out of the blue when you've all but forgotten him lol.

I wonder if this is related to the issue of the DM repeating the last thing he/she said if you alt+tab out and back into the game while on the airship. That or the noise from the Aura of Death for PM's lasts forever issue has come back with a vengeance.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

I've experienced similar issues but usually restarting the client clears it. It can get exceedingly odd when relogging several toons in the bank when searching for a specific item.

Yeah, I usually end up resetting the client when it gets really ignoring...you know, like hearing the crickets from Tangleroot in the Marketplace

I was able to bug report it and even received a response that the bug has been logged

I just wish a Dev would comment and let us know what the status is.

I am getting this as well. Bank sounds persist if my toon was in the bank when I logged and switched characters. Have had Tangleroot sounds persist, have had airship sounds persist, have had all sorts of background noises layer on top of each other. Today I went through all 20-odd toons to check their mail and by the end of it I had this horrible mishmash of sounds including two different bank tunes playing a badly timed round with each other. Quitting out and signing back in does fix it, but kind of a pain to have to do that every time I want to switch toons a few times.

I get the Amrath audio following me occasionally. It's strange hearing the yells of battle everywhere you go.

I'm joining this bandwagon. I have the same issue, especially after I logout one character in the bank and log in another.

My sounds cuts out on the character selection and creation screens too. And I love the character generation music.

Just bringing this to the forefront once again. Even after U13 dropped, there is still overlapping audio throughout the game. It's inconsistent in its pattern and I haven't been able to isolate the issue yet, but it's been happening all day today.

    Anybody else?

I've experienced my own audio issues since the update that introduced The Chronoscope raid. I play DDO in a window, so if I minimise then maximise, I will often hear a short sound byte of NPC dialogue, from content I've just played. This may have something to do with my onboard audio, as I've had other similar issues in the past for which that was the culprit.
