    Exclamation Why don't we get?

If you look at the DDO page on VIP's, http://www.ddo.com/vip , it states

"The DDO VIP program is the best value for players who want access to everything in DDO! Being a VIP provides unlimited access to all Adventure Packs, premium classes and races, and free Turbine Points to spend in the DDO Store every month. It also provides our highest level of service, from priority login access to additional free character slots. "

More specifically, "all premium classes and races".

Why is it that VIP's have to purchase monk and artificer?

There is even a list, that states on the page that shows a break down of this.

    Classes | VIP| Premium| F2p|
    Basic Class |Free| Free | Free|
    Premium Class |Free | Buy | Buy|

And at the bottom of the page, it has:
"Which races and classes are basic, premium, and favor based?

    * Basic races and classes include: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, Human, Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard
    * Premium races and classes are: Warforged and Monk
    * The following races and classes can be earned for free using the Favor system: Drow and Favored Soul"

So according to that, aren't we paying for the classes we can't access?

Also, I understand that drow and favored soul can be earned, but that isn't possible for the other 2(art. and monk).

    So... ?

I thought you were supposed to have monk as VIP.
If you're not getting it something weird is going on.

Artificer is planned to be a favor-unlock class, they're just doing things in the wrong order and its not coming across favorably.

    Mmk.
I think I bought monk, but it may have been before I was VIP which is why I'm confused. The artificer was the main one I was frustrated about. I want a puppy D:

their advert that was active up until 6 hours to the downtime had *'s designating that certain races and classes were only available to vip's through favor unlocks.

No mention of artificer not being open to vip.

Also on the same ad it was saying that vip's got early access to new adventure packs.

the ad i'm talking about was the 3 month special one.

it's a little fishy to me that there is no mention of artificer on that ad and it mentions that vip's get early access to adventure packs and that the ad was up until shortly before U11 downtime. Then all of a sudden there is no mention of early access for VIP's.

i truly believe turbines way of dealing with their customers is one of the main reasons this game has never taken off like it should. well that and their dev policies. such a shame too. this is a great game.

edit: thought they had removed the early access to adventure packs. i was wrong

Being a VIP means you have access to all adventure packs, races and classes** during the course of your subscription. PLUS, you'll get exclusive early access to new adventure packs, access to all quest difficulties with all characters, and you'll get to enjoy all the other EXCLUSIVE VIP benefits like a monthly point grant***, extra character slots, shared bank slot, and much more!
