    was more of a fun build built to idk... run? im fairly sure it can do traps and its an acrobat which i have seen do good dmg before (rahl's wrath anyone?)

    Just because it doesnt do massive dps or some other elitist **** doesn't mean it wont be fun to do. Geez. if i wanted massive damage of some type i would just make a cookie cutter fighter build.

    That being said, with little tweaking, it could be a decent tank.

    hell ya i join you in that
    i mean anyone who knows the game at all could figure out how to make a major dps char, i dont like the huge dmg ppl or healer (no offense to you healers i love ya but i could never play one)
    what i like is having fun in a GAME so what if the raid doesnt get finished, did ya have fun failing? if the awnser to this question is yes then you know what it is to play a game and not be stupidly addicted (i am addicted but not stupidly addicted) i do try to make some decent and unique builds from time to time though ^^

    I have an acrobat build they are fun. I wouldnt recommend building one with an 8 str though.

    I dont think it would be much fun not hitting anything, but that may only be my perception. Look build what you want, just trying to save you some pain of rerolling thats all.

    I never said they were perfect, and yes i know that 8 str means **** for hitting things i also know that with 8str like that you "could" get to 20 str (+4 tome +6 item +2 stance then theres inhenerents/profound/ect) still sucks at hitting i guess

    I understand both your intentions and your play style. But I've been playing DnD and other role playing games for almost twenty years now and one thing I've learned is that sometimes the most fun and memorable characters are the ones with severe weaknesses and sever strengths at the same time. Like I said, with a few tweaks the master saver could be a great tank for a static group, and be used for high level mat and favor farming. I also know that sometimes the most fun character can be an awesome killing machine. It just depends on the players mood. So, in all, I think that the build is creative, and outside of the norm. He never said it was meant to be a killing machine or a min/maxed powerhouse, its just something he made while bored. If you question his ability to make great characters, then just look at his mains in game. I quest with him regularly and we are almost always tied for kills. And I run a PM AOE acid wizard. A **** good one too.

    i feel its lacking in enhances, ie could use ALOT more there were just too many things to choose from, i wish i could have hit 12 fighter without sacking TOD, but cant sadly
    feels like a great build though, human versiality and haste boost can both be going at same time (someone said it was new BUT idk) basicly a ki building machine that does some SA, and since dmg boost from versiality ups all the dmg now not just wep dmg (or so i thought i heard) it will up the SA from the elven dilly/sa from dark monk (stacks intended or not)

    The online character generator has all the artificer enhancements, no defender ones yet, but those are really easy to plan. Some AC, some HP, some sneak, give Intimidate,Bluff, etc... those kinds of things.

    I tend to go for casters so I'll comment mostly on the 2 rogue/18 wizard and the 20 artificer.
    Wizard: Eschew materials is kind of not worthwhile. You have no Empower or Maximize, you're already losing in effectiveness with taking 2 rogue levels and all the AA feats, you need at least Empower or Maximize. Maximize I would say on a sorcerer, but wizards are painful when it comes to SP (I found)... and Empower has some enhancements to cut down cost. Mind you, if you wear some gear with Improved Metamagic - Maximize, then Maximize is definitely the way to go. Either one of Empower or Maximize is way better than Eschew materials. By high level you hopefully have 2 extra tabs in inventory space and can afford to hold the materials. More damage when you need to kill is to be desired over space in inventory.
    Rogue level 2 - you may wish to take this earlier. Leveling up with Evasion is a boon, most splashes of 2 rogue take rogue level 2 around level 10 or so after they get firewall. Some take it earlier because they find it that useful and can wait one extra level for firewall. Now, if you get 2 levels of rogue and Evasion, it'd be a shame not to take Insightful Reflexes... it'd be criminal even . What you could remove: is Mental Toughness a pre-req for Archmage? I've only been interested in Pale Masters so I'm not 100%. Another possibility is Spell Focus: Illusion. Use an item with Greater Spell Focus: Illusion. I'm not sure it's worth taking a SF in Illusion for blur, displacement. Invisibility is kind of weird as it is, not sure a SF will help it. Of course, it may be that SF and Mental Toughness are pre-req for Archmage, in which case... you have to choose to replace Eschew Materials with either Insightful Reflexes, or Empower, or Maximize. All three well worthwhile feats.
    Also think if there is a better school to get focus in. Something that actually increases you chance of landing some hurt. And as I said, maybe take rogue a lot earlier... would make you 1. more survivable and 2. chance to increase UMD earlier or any other skill. I won't mention increasing INT because if you are going for archer, there's no room for INT increases to fit in Spot (which means you have to know where traps are on the map, know where the hidden doors are etc).

    The Artificer... ohhhhh I love the artificer!
    Your selection of feats. Let's start with what is there. I am guessing you get Toughness twice as a dwarf, so I'm going to leave that be. Skill Focus: UMD? Point Blank Shot on a melee? Not sure it effects the rune arm... And Precise Shot and IMPS? Those are generally for xbow damage and you said it's a melee artificer. You're missing Quicken, which if you want to heal yourself (as evidenced by Construct Essence), you need. Way more than skill focus: UMD. Might want to consider Greater Cleave or some other melee focused feats instead of the xbow feats.
    I have found that rune arm is a melee range-ish type of weapon. xbow is very very long range, rune arm, a lot less so. You can improve all your melee abilities and rune arm and leave the xbow alone. I'm not sure if it's worth giving up Battle Engineer (but I don't see how it would be so bad on a melee/rune arm user)... but you need to consider some Wands/Scroll mastery if you're going to go so much into UMD usage. Make good use of that line so that by high level you can heal with scrolls and wands and use most scrolls and wands. Sadly artificers have very not useful spells for range damage via spells but maybe you can do enough with Prismatic Ray and Detonation to make up for the lack of long range damage if you ignore xbows.

    I can tell you that xbow without: Attack II, Dmg II, Improved Crit: Ranged, can start to be very lacking the higher level you go. The biggest problem is the enhancements (and the lack of Quicken and Great Cleave)... you can live without better melee and maybe you can manage without Quicken repairs (not the best idea especially at melee... those repairs are sloww when you're surrounded by 6-8 melee serious fighter/barb type damagers)... but the enhancements cannot give you everything. Great UMD for scroll healing and access to most scrolls and wands in game requires to go all in with all but Wand Heightening (though you can only skip that if most wands/scrolls are healing/buffing type)... great rune arm damage requires all of them... xbow damage is useless by the end (and might as well just respec at high level and leave them out than just the Battle Engineer I pre-reqs) without all attack and damage enhancements... and if you want to improve BB you need Force Manipulation... and you're self-healing so you need the Repair Manipulation (smart not to bother with crit line, who waits for a crit repair to hopefully land?!).

    Kind of have to choose to leave something out. As it is, I suggest you leave the xbow stuff out or leave the rune arm stuff out and improve the xbow so you can kill some from afar and when they get within melee range, take out the axe and go nuts on them.
