Overall the UI is difficult to even see, let alone use. The translucency of the names and HP/SP/Ki bars is to high which doesn't provide enough contrast with the rest of the game graphics. In a quest where the background is full of reds/browns it is even worse. Basically I can't even read the **** thing without having to really concentrate on it.

Adjusting the graphics settings might alleviate this, but that is a poor workaround imo. I have never heard of a "fix" that requires players to adjust the gamma/contrast levels and that screams at the need for a fix on the service provider's side, not the players side.

The game needs to be playable first and foremost before content and cool toys. This is quite simply not playable. I am having a difficult time enjoying the game the way it is.

On a side note, my first FTO always said to provide positive feedback when you need to make note of something negative. The new Weapons Shipment is a wonderful change and so is being able to customize the metamagic feats for each spell.

But please, please, please Devs. Listen to your playerbase on the issues regarding the UI. I see NUMEROUS posts on this topic and it needs to be addressed ASAP. Someone please at least let us know you hear us on this one with a quick "read by a Dev" or something.

I haven't seen Detention in weeks. I'm out in the field on patrol right now so I'm busy dodging idiot drivers on their cell phones who seem to want to run me over instead of paying attention to the ****ing road.

Speaking of which, did I ever mention how much fun it is to post on the forums using my new iPhone?

Oh ya... fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it, fix it, fix it, fit it, fix it.

Please fix it. The UI is terrible.

i fail to see the problem. if its cus they are shorter, well that IS a get used to thing, and one that hardly matters.
They are smaller and harder to see. This reduces the accessibility of the information, and does so for no good reason, as the class icons could be made dramatically smaller.

Let me reiterate: there is no reason for the bars to be this small. That Turbine made them this way is a mistake, period. There are no emotional overtones to this. What they did is wrong. It should be fixed. That is all.

I like the numbers. I just want the red bars bigger. They made the whole thing bigger, yet also harder to see. Before I could watch the fight, looking for signals such as the blades closing in on harry, and still see the general fall of any member's hps. Now, I have to stare at the little red boxes. I'm sure these points have been brought up in this and other threads, I'm just agreeing.

Default Save the Kobolds! Kill the UI!

Nine out of ten kobolds agree that the new UI is terrible. I'm not even going to bother going over all of the problems, as alot of people in numerous threads have already done that in great detail. Game theory 101, give players choices! I've been trying to look at it from the perspective of a dev, but it makes even less sense when I do. Ultra small, trasnparent, widely spaced party bars taking up absured amounts of room...check! Deep sixing a party bar that people have been happy with for 5+ years...check! Reasoning behind overhaul...(crickets). At the very least, put toggle in so every gets what they want.

incredible art... and /signed.... Not one person in game has said they liked it... and universally at the beginning of each quest the Cleric/FvS says how much they hate it...

You peeps have to mature in the game also, as someone said before "Improvise...Adapt....Overcome". Some Healers are use to do some mass divines at the quest entrance and after ppl rest in schrines, then "pike" through the quests spaming here and there a mass heal, or a spot heal to that squichy guy with the red bar allways droping like a rock while smoking a cigarrete (...) or drinking coffee (...), but now you have to adapt also, you have to improve your skills, you have to get ways to work better with the tools you allways had, they just a little bit different. I play a FvS Lord of Blades and i also know what heal is, even if i am not much of a healer... If there are issues with the new U11? But ofc there are but we all know where/which they are, Devs already know where/wich they are and its annoying to see threads appearing every 10m with the same blah blah blah... I like U11, i am having a bounch of fun playing the game as i did before the update, i just had to change some things nothing else
Paki, how about you hop on your healer and try to heal elite ToD or any epic raids and then tell me that new UI is all sunshine and lollipops? The point of these posts is to (hopefully) alert the devs to massive negative impact their UN-NEEDED change in the Vitals UI is causing. Last time I checked, we were customers of a company called Turbine, and at least in Australia, customers have the right to complain about the quality of a good or service. Don't be Steve Jobs and tell me that I'm holding my phone wrong when it cuts out on me due to an inherent design flaw -_-

I'm with you on that. XD I've always used my laptop and people are always surprised when I say I don't use a mouse. lolz. Psh... I tried using a mouse a while back and I hated it. I guess I'm just too used to not needing it. ^-^

As for the UI... Meh. Whatever. I don't care either way. I've had no problems with my cleric other than the lag going on. Any other character I play, I don't really even pay attention to the health bars, other than my own big bar. XD

    Default Agree

    Hi,

I don't like the new UI for the reasons listed above.

Two other things I find more difficult now are seeing who is speaking, and telling which party members have disconnected.

There do appear to be some people who like it, or at least don't mind it. For this reason, I think adding a setting which allows you to choose between the old or the new UI would be a good interim solution.

    Thanks.

Theres nothing wrong with the new UI ppl, you just need to change somethings... heh
    Good you like it.

Bad for a million of us and we are not liking it. So we can ask for an option to go back to old UI, can't we??

I think I saw one on the forum saying that he/she liked it... for 50/60 saying they hated it.

    anyway great art and /signed.

I tried two of the new quests yesterday with one of my LVL 20 Clerics and managed to get several people killed because I stopped looking at the little red & blue bars for a few seconds. And even looking at them (almost) all the time, you just cannot really see if healing is needed or not, nor what kind of healing will be needed.

    As somebody sugested :
give us the old size bars,
get rid of the pet ( put that on the pet owner bar, you can even split the HP bar in two like you did for the SP bar when monks came in ) HP in party UI,
close the space between the bars,
put the name where it belongs, in the red bar ( or on top of both bars if you want ),
for the sake of completeness give us options to toggle on/off for the following on the party UI ( with no impact on our own bar display... that is if we toggle off the number in the party UI, but we have our show number on own bar on we should keep seeing the values on our bar.) :
    - show total HP/SP value
    - show current HP/SP value
    - show current HP/SP value in percentile of total value.

Yes, they already did that for the SP bar when the monk came in. They could also have done it for the HP bar for the Arti Pet.

I know that a lot of cleric players are considering putting their healing characters in long vacations because the new UI is a real PITA. I'm sure that Pugs ( that already had difficulties finding healers ) will love the new requirement : BYOH is going to be mandatory soon.

I have a question, I haven't grouped with an Arti yet. So the dogs take another slot on the HP bars?

    If that's the case?

    Why??

I don't like how far spaced they are (on any of my toons) but it hasn't affected how I heal when on my FvS. I do like how the bars look. Think that's perfect, just need less spacing between them, but that's mainly for looks.

For all the negative the UI update brought, it is almost balanced by the awesome that is that picture. Almost
