Make health bars as big as they were please. Put the character name inside the health bar and make both character name and health bar taller please. I cannot currently read either at a glance, very poor change.

Let's see:
Jack up the red bars so we can't see them anymore. Check.
Triple and quadruple the amount of hit points raid bosses have. Check.
Increase the cost of FvS wings and limit the amount they can use it. Check.
Why yes - it does appear that Turbine hates healers.
I absolutely despise the new party UI. In addition to it being harder as a healer type to distinguish when someone might need a heal, I find it quite difficult to see who is speaking now since only the tiny name above their bar lights up green when they speak. Beyond frustrating.

Like the numerous other threads on the subject.
clicking on the bar is actually faster than using the F-keys. At least for me.
Clicking means I have to put the cursor on the right person... the cursor is already in that part of my screens, so it doesn't take long. then cursor move to the right icon in the bar to hit the spell and go back to the party area.
Fast efficient.
Using F Key means I lift my hand from the mouse, look for the correct F-Key with my eyes ( thus loosing focus of the screen ), select the right F-Key, press it, put back the hand on the mouse, look back to the screen. By that time the person I was trying to heal is dead, so I can hit Resurrection instead of heal.
On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...
/dont understand
1) I think they are big enough
2) I never click on the bars. I asign at the begining : John, you are F2, Bill, you are F3, Maria (actually Mario, but ...) you are F4...so I hear "F4" I heal Mario.
I try to use the mouse click as less as possible.
Goat, Sammich, Poultry
The new party UI is awful. I really wish I had more adjectives to describe how repugnant I find it, but I'm too tired from posting in every UI thread to muster up the imagination anymore.

If they don't change it my cleric is on permanent strike and will NEVER heal an artificer pet or an artificer! lol
I tried this, and it definitely helps, but if you're the type who clicks on party name instead of using function keys (such as me), you have to be really careful that you don't mistakenly click in between the party names to select them, because then the chat window comes to the front and you can't click on ANYONE until you can get it behind the party names again.

I had a difficult time on my healer with the new bars and seeing when people needed a heal. Sry I'm not more specific and I can't put my finger on it but it did not have the same awareness of when people were dropping in health.
The Nak Abides - Argo - Ascent
Ganak Goblinjuicer ~ Xanak the Irregular
i really dont need a little picture of my face on my hp bar either i know what i look like and it just takes up more of my valuable screen space,
i think there should be a check box in ui options for classic view i am curious to the advantages of this change, or why they did it? ive heard a rumor or two about the devs actually playing the game i guess i just dont see it

this. our party cleric died a couple times today. was saying that her self heal wasn't working. She eventually clued in that she wasn't on top of the list, and that fixed it, sorta. She still messed up a couple times, and she still complained about visibility. As the ranger I commonly cast element resists and FoM, as well as emergency heals on the cleric or myself if needed...
hate the new ui.

My main is a cleric. I had a whole bunch of "surprise" deaths on Thelanis today in the new areas because the shorter bar are harder to see, and *appear* to go down faster which shortens the time you have to react.
Yeah, I like the number totals, because it lets me decide who needs which size spell for maximum effect.
But I'd like an option to return to the longer bars - they are easier for healers to deal with and give us enough time to see who needs what when.
This UI change makes it harder to do my job.

Bars should be longer and closer to each other and also, they need a dark, transparent background (like the chat window)
It's a PIA to heal people at the moment.
Or better yet...
How about a GUI option to select CLASSIC vital bars? They were good enough for five years after all.
