    Default Hit point requirements

Anyone who posts an LFM that says "Don't try to join if you don't have XXX HP", I will squelch you. It's lame. If your confidence is so weak that you can't handle someone who is newer to the game, not an expert on the game, or just plain sub-optimal, then stick to your safe circle of friends and don't put up the LFM in the first place. Thanks for your understanding.

We categorize players by the sounds they make as they die.

chunk chunk ding (fort but no hit points)
chunk wump ding (no fortification/no hit points)
ding (so far only 1 person has qualified, he had a 5 con)

This sounds like fun! It's more fun if it's a drinking game.

Remember though, you can't play if nobody joins. (I might be in the first category.)

Ran House C's Power Play with a level 18 Elven Wizard last night. When he joined and only had 186 HP, I thought maybe he was joking or something. We got in the quest and he starts buffing and it goes up to... barely over 200. I was a little worried, but I figured I'd give the guy a chance. I've had low HP casters in the past and they did fine right up until epic cometfalls hit him. :-)

Honestly, I was surprised. He managed to stay alive and not even be a major drain on the healer. We completed with no issues at all and everyone actually listened to instructions. It's like they actually wanted to complete the quest, not just zerg it! Amazing!

Seriously, though, I'll keep having my doubts about low-HP toons, especially at the higher levels, but I'm not going to kick them immediately. If they can't hang, they'll spend their time in a backpack as usual. If they can, then maybe we'll all see that 500+ HP isn't required to do everything in the game.

    Just some thoughts.

This new UI is hilarious. So far, my gimpy 350HP halfling rogue has not been in a group yet where he has the lowest HP. I'm always beaten out by a FvS or Sorc or Wiz. And here I thought I was gonna be the shortest AGAIN!

On a related note, while waiting in front of a Reaver's to fill, being on my Dwarven 13/2/2 Bard, I recieved tell from a level 16 (or 17) Paladin who is also in group: "What did you do to make your HP be so high?". (I was at 385 HP, he was at 350ish.)

The new UI actually creates some awareness.

Yes, this! Sooo many people don't read the forums and have been living in ignorance and don't know that HP are an inportant part of the game. It is not diffiult to add some gear and the odd feat and still have a unique (ish) build that is viable.

Don't build a big list of people who you think are nasty for knowing this. It will be much quicker to get some HPs.

I have done five shrounds since U11 and the only deaths are I've seen are those on less than 300 hps. Good hps do not make you invulrerable and low hps isnt always a death sentence but overall they are very important and seriously increase the chances of the healer being able to keep you alive.

    Remember:

    - people you adress in your OP will not care about your opinion, it is a hardliner fraction you want to come by

Every playstyle is fine as long as you select the people with who you know you will have fun. That is all. No reason coming to the forums and semi rant/whine about that topic.

On a more serious note I think the new UI is stupid. The old one was fine and fit (fitted?) perfectly in the simple combat overview design of DDO. Now we have fancy new layout but it is irritating and right now I have problems watching peoples hp bars. It looks nice but the utility is more than doubtful. I hope a patch will change it. In this case the old thing was perfect.

    New thing bad, very bad!!!

I dont really kick ppl due to low hp, but i get worried sometime. I had a sub 200hp rogue in shroud yesterday and told him to stay out of the harry fight. Well, he went in and died. NO healer can keep somethng like that up.

And this isnt a problem of playstyle. Playstyle would be going fast or slow, exploring everything etc. Having no hp is not a playstyle nor are some ppl that actually want to complete stuff hardliners.

It's not hard to get some hp. It really isnt. Invest a little in con, it wont kill any buiöd and get toughness, every toon has room for that. Seriously.

Note: I'm all against kicking ppl. If someones new, he may need advice not rudeness. If you pull a GFL or fort item, pass it to him e.g.

I object. Consider the leader is rushing right into crowds and therefor needs people with high hp to keep up this reckless smashing. That is his playstyle. Hardliners are people who just give ''either or'' decisions. You accept or leave. All matching points mentioned in the OP.

The add about squelching shows uncalled rude behavior, because you are supposed to squelch people who show irritating behavior. Squelching because of numbers is kind of abusing this tool. Fine by me. I just ignore those LFMs and select my way. As long as you are not on wayfinder you shouldn't have problems finding other players.

The OP on the other hand won't have the effect of its intend. As long as it is meant as a serious message. The advice then is:
Live and let live. Do not get upset about this game. Take revenge in joining and provoking some grief, after that report for being harrassed. Post the drama thread.

    p.s.:
I quit getting upset about LFMs. 'ingroup'-behavior is much more important and might get me to boiling point though. But, as long as you are not in a group and not particular insulted... why bother about those LFMs?
