Rogues will have to start packing their bags and retire. Turbine has killed a class that has been struggling to keep up with this update. Guess i will reroll mine as an artificer when its released to f2p in the store.
Also has ANY dev tried playing this game before releasing the update?
1. the new party interphase sucks
2. you removed the auto attack button that was in a convenient place for no reason. if i wanted to see my mug i would rather do it on the observation panel
3. 99% of the players found existing content challenging enough. if you wanted to raise the bar make a new difficulty level with higher drop rate. you really need to come up with some better way to increase challenge than increase hit points and fortification.
so the next target to "fix" will be healer classes. I am guessing the druids (when they come) will make one f2p class (probably clerics) useless and VIP will have to buy them from store.

1. high fortification + fortification bypass not counting towards sneak attack chance
2. artificers will replace rogues soon... spell buffs + rogue skills + viable dps
3. who are you going to pick for your raid group? a rogue with 420 hp or a 750 hp melee esp with the hp bars showing you numbers at start of a group?
4. bonus damage for held mobs and new changes to boosts don't affect sneak attack damage.

True, but;
You have to admit that house C has to be the best looking area (especially being one of the major houses) since the Menechatrun Dessert era Mod 3 / update (whatever).
I really think the long awaited (& long overdue) addition of new House is a great move, and the themes they used for the quest & story line were pretty clever.
And if I'm not mistaken, I think a few of the animators @ Turbine are using different programs than they have been for a few years now.

I'm happy with the update just because I can now individually metamagic all my spells. Saves me a lot of time and headache and needless button-pushing.
1. even at 50% fort, rogues' dps is the highest. tests indicate that elite/epic bosses don't have fort more then 55%.
2. that was also said for 18/2 wiz/rog and they didn't.
3. evasion and improved evasion is worth at least 1/3 more hp. especially now that bosses are getting maximize.
4. they do affect SA.

I am all for fun too but if you increse Boss/mobs hitpoints then increase the rewards.
DDO already has some pretty sad risk vs rewards,I hate going for hours to do a quest that is a few lvls higher than me to get loot that is many,many levels below me.
I would imagine if DDO pays thier workers the same way they stock chests I would hate to work for them. =P
pros:
I liked artificer on lama, and I'lll definately TR my char into it.
Per spell metamagic selection is saving me a lot of SP (as I was too lazy to switch heighten off for auras, or manage extend to turn it off for long buffs, on for short ones)
I like being able to see HP of other people in party display. And based on the fact you can put yourself back in first slot of party display through options -> ui and turn off the portrait on large display, or even turn off hp/sp numbers, you can almost move back to how things were before update.
I like my new house P epic items.
I like auto-reloading of consumables on hot bars.
I like more xp from same quests (+15% base for hard and +30% base on elite on first completion, plus possible bravery bonuses on top of that.
I like hard open for TRs and elite open for 36 pt TRs
Also, new update quests had me a blast. say, when you have freedom of movement, and someone sets exploding charge and does not have FoM in blown to bits, is it okay to go "oops, grease" to kill him? Or, is it okay to set the charge under this big chest after burning golem fight? (there are rez shrines everywhere, and whatever, I can spare a raise scroll just to see it happen once in a while, and it's not like it's a flawless run anyway or not enough resources to rebuff... just another player dying to friendly fire and swearing revenge (and when he got his revenge, it was fun for me too ) )
cons:
I dislike new collision check issues while moving with my melee.
I dislike the issues with alt key (and it goes deeper than interrupting actions).
I dislike buggy-ness.
I dislike that people rant A LOT over FvS wings, new UI, overpoweredness of alchemical items, and other things turbine intentionally did for players.
