Default Upgrading epics via Cannith Crafting

I admit this might overpower some epics items but there are really a few epic items worth the grind
Since upgrading epic items is mostly useless (except for underwater action :P) this could make a differance

btw im just thinking outloud and curious about what you think

Definitely don't need to imbalance the game any more than it already is.

    Cannith? no.

But you are right in that more slot options are necessary. Making things like 30% striding or lvl 6~7 superior potency/elemental bonuses would make even the more marginal epic items more attractive, without having to remake almost every single item in some packs.

Actually it might not be a bad idea to have epic items have a craftable property like runearms. Nothing too fancy, +4 or something.

It might not be a terrible idea to let people slot a Prefix/Suffix into an Epic augment slot.

I absoultely think it would be too much just to allow players to slot Cannith crafting straight onto them with both Prefix/Suffix and still allow players to keep the augment slots as well.

actually i was talking about the augment slots why not using cannith shards to upgrade them but maybe devs can replace some augment slots with cannith slots for specific items to make them better than green steels or dragontouched at least ?

I dislike Cannith Crafting in general, but this suggestion could go on some of the weaker epic items (VoN necklaces, I'm looking at you...) to give them a little boost without (hopefully) too much programming difficulty.

Add new epic altar, cannith crafting shard + 30 epic dungeon tokens +5 raid tokens = fill yellow slot with something useful.

this is a good point, there's nothing useful for a caster to put in a red slot on epic staff of inner sight for example, some sort of potency or arcane lore would make a lot of sense here

    striding 30% in yellow

    deathblock in blue

    etc

While I think it's a bad idea in this fashion

I could see adding "Crafting +5" or something on weaker epic items. Say, the epic bloodstone. It doesn't improve much over the base item. Why not add "Crafting+5" on it and you could add a cannith effect on it, like rune arms come with.
