VIP Why?

I am in beta with SWTOR...sorry, it kinda sucks. It is boring, weird controls, 36GB on disk, and pretty much a cookie-cutter boring half-mmo, half-dragon age 2 (which also sucked)

No No No ... It's the greatest thing ever and will mean the end of DDO.. Just like AOC and all the others were... DDO may still be a niche game, at least a bigger niche then it was in the past, but it lived through all the blather about how great thsoe games were goign to be, at lest before they hit the market only to see the turn out to the **** they were... And SWTOR has the huge marketing and name recognition push, as well as a HUGE initial developmental budget.. But I predict from what I'm seeing and reading of it.. It will be a big roll-out and then a swift decline.... But who knows look at all the millions that play WoW It won't kill DDO... Only Turbine can do that...

We'll see though....

Only Turbine knows how many VIPs vs Premium accounts it has that are active.

From my personal experience 1 out of 6 party members generally have VIP access when in PuG groups regardless of level. Only the occational eliteist group posts (with comments like "know it", "no hand holding", "TRs only", "have a clue", etc) will have more VIP.

If VIP was the majority I wouldnt expect to see this sort of result.

Turbine might have some plans in the works to pull back more VIP/Subscribers given the amount of "become a VIP" adverts popping up lately but they have a lot to repair. Arty and hard/elite unlocks are only recent issues.

I'm guessing VIPs have been screaming out for high level content and more raids more than the premiums and this too has fallen on deaf ears over the past year or so. Only now are we getting 17+ content to help those VIP TRs.
