    Question Multiclass Melee

I really like playing my sorcerer but I want to try and keep him the same level as my brother and friend. I really want to make a multiclass character but not 100% what to make. I was going to play a Trap Tempest but don't think I really want to follow through with that. The plan was going to be (1 Rogue/1 Fighter/ 18 Ranger) or
    (1 Rogue/7 Fighter/ 12 Ranger).

The character I was thinking about playing was either going to be a monk multiclass or twf paladin. I would want to use hand wraps for my monk but was unsure if pure monk had higher dps than a multiclass. Same with going pure paladin, the capstone doesn't seem to be too great. I have all the races since I am vip and have veteran status along with 32 Point Build.

    I was thinking maybe

Race Undecided 12 Monk/6 Ranger and other 2 levels would be undecided.

Race Undecided 12 Fighter/8 Monk (Saw similar one online but don't know the dps compared to pure monk)

Probably Drow 12 Paladin/6 Ranger and other 2 levels would be undecided.

Probably Drow 18 Paladin/2 Monk (For evasion and feats) (Would like to know if I would lose too much going with 2 monk)

Race Undecided 12 Ranger/ 6 Barbarian (Frenzied Berzerker seems strong)/2 Fighter (Just for Feats)

Would like any suggestions. Mainly I am trying to do damage and I would like to do a little more than just swing...

Paladin and monk are great choices if you want to do more than just swing. The paladin capstone is one of the best DPS capstones in the game, but what the 2 monk splash gives you is super useful on a paladin.

I would strongly urge you to go human or half-elf over drow.

Both paladin and monk are going to end up being less DPS than rogues/fighters/barbs. However, an 18/2 paladin/monk is hugely more survivable.

Thx for info I think I ll try the paladin monk but am not sure about what diligent I would get for the half-elf... Maybe rogue or would something else be better?

You can get healing amp with monk dilettante or DPS with rogue dilettante. I don't think any of the others will be of much use to you. If you are going to be strictly duoing, it's harder to get sneak attacks so I would go with the healing amp. The downside is you have to spend build points on Wisdom, which is a tough sell on a paladin. The upside is it won't be a huge difference any way you slice it, so you don't have to worry too much.

You might want to go sorcerer to add some versatility.

Divine wands and scrolls from paladin and arcane wands and scrolls from dilettante.
