    Angry Cult of Six

Does anyone know the drop rate of the mummy bat? I ran Cult of six, Six times and not once did it come up in my end quest reward. Really fustrating, and Im gonna have to do it again, because I want that bat.

Erm, I got it on my first run ever on my ranger. Which was also my first time doing that quest chain.

I didn't even knew bout the mummified bat as I was scrolling the reward list. The party members were just bantering and I said "this quest is quite unpopular". And someone said, "yeah, but some folks still run it for the the mummified bat. I'm looking for that too." And I was like, oh it's on my reward list.

    /ducks.

You must have been really unlucky. It's there about half the time for me.

Why not go for ff on another slot? Or does it matter that much?

Just bad luck. I had the bat shown up the last three times I did CO6.

I would guess about 1/3 of the time.

I am not so sure the mummified bat is so good it is worth farming, since feather falling is widely available, an even as clickies if you need occasionally while wearing other boots or rings.

I was told that the reason the mummified bat is attractive is because of it's low ML (5?). Most boots of FF has ML 10 or 11, so it's great twink gear. And then it takes up a trinket slot, which supposedly is a less useful slot than boots.

At least this was what I was told.

There are cheap min level 7 ff boots on AH at g-land atm.

The slot consideration can be true, though. Still, I hate changing out my voice because I forget to put it back on.

Well I need both ring slots, Sora Kell set and Marshwalker, and that also eliminates the boots

Oh yeah, it is useful, and probably the best of the named end rewards. I just would move on if it isn't there after my usual xp runs.

Swapping for ff boots the few times you're dropping down from somewhere will lose you some jump and balance (not that useful while falling), UWA (useless while falling anyway) and 15% striding. You can't live without that?

Im a rather forgetful person when it comes to equipment, for example, completelly forgetting to switch to my silver axe when I was fighting the Vampire from Church and the cult. I sat there 5 mins swinging at him wondering why I wassent doing any damage :l

Ring of Feathers from STK is much easier to farm, only takes a couple of minutes per run if you've got a capped toon and want to twink a lowbie. The drop rate is about 15% or something like that. Also, that ring has no min level AFAIR.

IF your forgetful the mummified bat is not for you. In that slot sould be your voice of the master at all times (if your forgetful).

Just go get a ring of feathers off the AH, or get a chain end reward out of carnival/fens ring/boots of featherfall. They are somewhat rare but not really, usally BTA, and lower min lvls.

Mummified bat is mm level 7.
If you want to farm a good FF twink item you should farm STK for Ring of Feathers - FF ring, no level requirements.
You can also chose to farm Sharn Syndicate quest chain, sometimes a ml 3 or 5 ff item will come up, and it'll be BTA.

mummified bat is a great item to have for your shared bank to pass around lowbies until they get some boots, or a ring, or something like that. I'd agree trinket is best reserved for Voice of the Master for a good long while.

Get the bubble belt instead. It allows you to hit everyone with a waterbreathing right before Pt4 of shroud, which is essential. So I'm told...

Ahem. More seriously, the bubble belt is just a nicer end reward, very handy throughout the game.
