Advice on old school Rg12/Paly8

Tring one of my old toon (fighter) after U11, any way on improving it? Right now I'm thinking of:

ravager ring (+2 str)
ring +6 dex of something
epic shocking gloves (resist+4)
Epic vulkorim fighting leather (toughness, ?)
Trinket ? bloodstone maybe
epic mabar cloak (need some DR somewhere)

So looking at 46ish str sustained and 630 HP, evasion with +29 reflexes (thats definitly to low, 34 would be nice)

So gear that would fit better, different stats?

Whats the resoning behind Pally 8? Would a 12 ranger / 6 pally / 2 monk-fighter-rogue be better?

Loosing 2 lvls of pally?
Gaining 2 levels of Monk
+2 feats (of which can be toughness)
-1 BAB
Wis bonus to AC
-4 HP

Gaining 2 levels of Rogue
-1 BAB
Access to UMD at 23 (end game)
+1d6+3 sneak attack
Full trap skills - cross class for a ranger, but so
Low level evasion
-8 HP

Gaining 2 levels of fighter
+2 feats
same BAB
Same HP
Same skills
Fighter haste boost I
Fighter Str 1

Then you could take the cleric dill as well for heal scrolls?

Fighter and Monk are good 2 level splashes

Artificer and Rogue are nice for a single lvl

Ranger14 gives some nice spells however
