chat server problems

im having problems with losing connection with chat server while in grp. have to quit out of game and restart. bin having this issue since last update. any help would be appreciated. tyvm

Hi Ultramax77,

If the error message receieved is
"(Error): There was an error communicating to the chat server. Please try again shortly."

Then this article (even though it states LOTRO) takes you though possible reasons

And they both use the same ports so you'll want to ensure ports 2900 and 2910 are open on your PC firewall and modem/router for both chat and voice chat (you don't state which is affected)
