    Default U11 Deadliest Warrior?

Hey guys, after reading U11 release notes, i was shock to see what they did with damage boost...
And so, after lifting my jaw in place, i started thinking about a few things...
Who will be the deadliest warrior?

    1) Fighter 20 human, wow! haste boost 4, and now, human versatility (damage) 4... +30% speed/ damage

    2) Barbarian 20, they were already DPS monsters, now they'll be DPS gods! equip a ESoS, game over!

    3) Fighter 12/ Barbarian 8 human, strength and goodies of both!: haste boost 4, rage, speed, kensai II, and human boost damage... it's like a fighter on steroids... ouffffff

    So who will be Deadliest???

Edit: i forgot to tell you, i have an ESoS, and will be TR (paladin past life) so will be THF

Go HElf instead of Human and take Rogue Dilettante for bonus SA damage.

exactly, im tr'ing my rog to helf ftr, haste boost, dmg boost, rog dilli, rog pl feat, twf: kopesh. the burst dmg will be amazing.

not necessarily the best, my 18barb/2ftr should be rocking with the changed to dmg boost.

I'm pretty much wondering whether they'll make class-based damage boost different from race-based damage boost. It seems like too much of a boon to two races that were already doing alright. For that matter, it'll screw half-orc sales just a bit...

Holding my breath! Would obviously be awesome, especially with dual activation and extra action boosts.
White Fang (newbie-friendly build) - TWF melee dps with self-sufficiency and rogue skills.
California King - the hagglebot craftbot alt build, pure Arty leveling with two-handed weapons.

Its a very difficult decision now. I've been banging my head against this table trying to decide between going horc fighter over to horc half-elf for dmg boost and SA dmg(pure 20) or just submitting to the superiority of a horc barb (which is probably going to be the case now judging from the lamannia sobrien video done by children).

Its very difficult to decide. the 12 fighter/ 8 barb doesn't look very good to me because its essentially a blitz that lost the functionality of the barb past life. except the 12/6/2rogue is just a 12/8 barb.

I agree with you on Half-elf, better than human (unless you wanna pick dragonmarks)
As for the rest... still debating, i mean barbarian are superior to everything right now (pure fighter wit ESoS compete)
but with new damage boost... it's 30% more damage!!!! even for 20 sec, it's still 30%, half-orc are still the most powerful contender, all their enhancements, and racial abilities are design to hit more with a big weapon.
As for 12/8 build... even w/o barb past life, it still kick ass! you go up to 60 STR and you hit pretty fast.
    hummm decision, decision...

Any comments from someone who tried it on Lamannia would be really appreciated.

Well, stacking Damage+Haste on my Human Rogue was amazing. I can tell you that much.

If the damage boost applies to SA damage, a pure human assassin probably beat them all, even against 50% fort opponents.

Horc barbarians are probably the undisputed leaders for THF now...
Same goes for Helf TWF fighters...

Even with the barb PL fix/nerf, I still like the 12/8 (or 12/7/1 or 12/6/2, all 3 now have merits) they loose 4 str/con off their rages, but gain damage boost 2/3 which will really pay off nicely in long quests when you run out of haste boosts.

Is deffinately in the Horc and Helf ballparks... go 2h horc barb or tw go helf. The former an easier fit in AP while the latter really drawn out depending on build choices.

Pure DPS considerations aside, HOrc has 3 more boosts, HElf has up to 30 more HP and 20% more Healing Amp (GL finding the AP though).

HOrc still looks superior, but I like that at least we have *something* which starts to come close.

And yes, I TR'ed from HOrc to HElf. HOrc players should be obliged to write what happened to their mums in their bios...

Or both parents could have been halforcs, living normal House Tharaskian lives.

    Nerd

Anyways, back to Deadliest Warrior - it depends on if/when/how Deadly Weapons is implemented. If eSoS does 10d6 damage on live then TWF won't be able to compete, so HOrc Barb will be a clear winner.

ESoS 10d6??? where you heard that? man this will be insane, even more than already is...
But still wandering about the 12/8... haste boost IV, damage boost IV (human or half-elf) rage, ans bunch of extra feats for toughness and combat maneuvers...
Seeing how they fix imp sunder... a very tempting choice, and maybe necessary! that fort save debuff could mean difference between miss or insta death...

Anyone tried a human fighter in Lamannia? with both boost?

    Yes, both boost together.

Deadly Weapons is an Artificer spell that doubles base damage. The devs say they may recode epic weapons so eSoS would be 2d6 base +3d6 tier II epic. If that is the case it would 'only' do 7d6 with Deadly Weapons.

Power Attack III = +6 damage per swing for 2HF - since Horcs start with +2 str, that's effectively +7.

Racial Damage Boost IV = +25% per swing 4/7 of the time.

    Is that right?

If so, one would need a 49+ base damage (plus quickdraw or cleave twitch) to be more effective as a Human/H-Elf compared to Horc.

Early morning for me - not sure if that is sound maths!
