Remember, there are barriers to Turbine being able to operate a business like that in multiple countries.
I seem to recall similar issues when Yurpeeyuns were trying to buy TP cards.
The troubles of a small company running an international business.
for anyone who keeps saying paypal - my bank doesnt support it![]()
Not sure but I may of seen them in Electronics boutique at some point. Not sure if they are still selling them but if you have one near by where you live you may want to go take a look. If they do not have any check to see if they can get some in, their parent company if I am correct is Game Stop in the USA and I see no reason as to why they could not allocate a portion of the cards they get for their US stores to their Canadian outlets of EB Games.
been premium since i been playing and prepaid ALWAYS WORKED for me as for paypal it needs to be verified (not even sure paypal needs to be verified, if i recall right i use to do this before my account was) and have a card linked
hell my wife n i both have premium accounts and always have done purchases this way since game went f2p, is only way we can get points and has never failed for us and we buy points often
ALSO one thing annoys me about the prepaids tho is the odd amount of money that become uselees because of the transaction fees BUT there a way to save most of that.
1st u need a second paypal (i use a free comercial type) and what u do is link the card to you main paypal account and make a payment to your commercial one for the amount that left and cant be used on your card (minus the transaction fee ofc)
2nd u then send as a gift to you main one w/e u have accumulated in you commercial one.
depending on what "size" (25, 50 , 100$) prepaid u use this can quickly become 15-20$ of "unusable" prepaid left over money!

You can go to 7-11 or Macs (I dunno if walmart has them) and buy an Ultimate Game Card. They are $20.
The UGC can be used to get ViP for one month (depending on exchange rate, right now it's very favorable for us) or be used to get 1200 Turbine points.
I do not know if you would get extra points with the double point weekend however.
Just because paypal worked for you doesn't mean it works for everyone. The account was verified and used in multiple transactions before being attempted on DDO and yet DDO didn't allow it. The second vanilla mastercard I used didn't work so a paypal account was made with it on it and that paypal account didn't work either. That the first card worked means that it is quite possible that there was an error with that specific card but I would rather go through the method that I have never seen fail.
As for the Vanilla mastercards, they work perfectly fine.
BUT!!!
You must register your card first. Just go to their site and add your address to the card. Then call up Turbine after 30 minutes or so and buy points. Done.
DDO is not for yooooo!
j/k, soory
Tell ya wot, though. If you're willing to mail me a penguin, I'll send you a DDO point card in exchange.

Yeah, maybe I will try one of those (i got a vanilla mastercard).
Last time though, i tried those Olympic visa prepaid cards.
Went to the site, saw i needed to post my address, so went to check their privacy policy. The link sent me to an internal page (same site, not chrome saying it couldn't find the site) saying the page did not exist. Yeah, not putting myself on one of those lists. I get enough spam as it is.
Anyways, why do they need your address (for the vanilla card now)? Do they send you mail, b/c i really hate mail >![]()
Ive already posted long ago about this in the sticky they have on the cards. You can buy a Ultimate Game Card at
almost any Shoppers Drug Mart or Zellers if your anywhere near any of those. You may not get the bonus points,
but/however if again your financial situation is such that its easier for you to pay cash money I would go this route.
P.S. Not trying to come across as condescending or anything so apologies in advance, just trying to helpful! :P!!
Good luck & hopefully 1 of these methods work for you!. Now I have not verified that the Ultimate Game Card are
available at Wal-Mart though. Have verified at Zellers & Shoppers Drug Mart(in London, Ontario Canada).

I've never received anything that I'm aware of from registering a vanilla mastercard.
Why do they want your address? Because some retailers like Turbine do what is called a MATCH check. They check the address you give them against the address listed on the card. It's essentially a fraud check.
And in fact in a lot of cases if the address information matches, the credit card issuing bank will charge the business a little less to process the transaction. I think if most consumers knew how the credit card processors and issuing banks worked they'd be.....but thats another topic...
Re: Vanilla Mastercards ... I'd prefer grape myself! First colors, then gems, now flavors!
Not even one penguin? Are you sure? Darnit.
Oh, I figured I'd keep the math simple and go one card for one penguin. Looks like that'd come out to roughly 1,600 PPP*. If you're sure about the penguins, though, I might have to switch the rate to reflect polar bears instead.
*sighs and breaks out the calculator*
*Points Per Penguin
