Banishing doesn't work on Harry. The Shroud is essentially considered part of Shavarath.

Unless something's changed, Banishing, including its Bane damage, won't work in the Shroud or Amrath.

As an aside, unless something's changed recently, Banish doesn't work on the Silver Flame paladins in Wrath of the Flame, when it should.

    That gives me an idea.

    PvP arena on Shavrath!

...Now that I've shared the idea, I don't actually want that to happen because I don't want developer resources wasted on PvP, but it would be interesting to have a different set of rules like that.

    got guildies a little confused.
seams some people think the banishing will still pull the 4d6 just not the vorp strike.

can someone please confirm that banishing causes no damage in the shroud?

I'll test it for you. got the coolest weapon in game to try it (+1 Banishing dagger of PG with risia frost on it. If it was silver, i think i would be forced to spec into daggers until shroud no longer interested me)

Banishing bane damage works in part 4 and 5 of Shroud, but not part 1 and 2. IMO, this is a bug because it should work throughout or not at all. I'll take a screen shot next time I'm running shroud with my Shintao monk.

The elementals in part 2 take banishing damage as well, but I think it's because they're technically in Shavarath and that's not their home plane. I could be wrong.

I believe elementals take banishing damage everywhere since they are not from our plane, nor Shavarath.

Slightly off topic, but this thread has me wondering if banishing works at all in the various rooms of prison of the planes.

Not if they're all wearing boots of anchoring...

I'd just go with a Holy Heavy Repeater of GEOB + silver arrows (actually, is there an arti spell that does silver?). I think currently Holy doesn't actually work as 'good' but they do keep promising to fix it, so you could build it and hold it in reserve...

Yes, Holy does 'good' damage, at least it does on my holy burst handwraps.
Yes, banishing works on part 4 and 5 of the shoud.
Yes, banishing heavy repeater of GEOB + holy bolts + silver enchantment = win

Need more testing, but maybe light repeaters do a slightly better dps, because with so many additional damage a little better RoF can make the difference...

    Banishing in PoP is weird.

The main creature per room; e.g. marut, ice flenser, efreet, djinn, etc. is immune. Peripheral monsters like mephits and elementals take full damage.

It could probably use to be looked at.

In Von 3 the breakables in the Troll Ambassador optional room are slow to get to and unnecessary for ransack.

Yes, there is an arti spell that does that, however using silver arrows in a repeater would = zero damage.. they use bolts Semantic's I know but I couldn't help myself.
