Default Stop leaving raid loot in the chest.

Title says it all. Stop leaving raid loot in the chest, not offering it to anybody and just recalling without so much as a "Hey, anybody want?" or even waiting for someone to ask you.

I've seen this done several times in EDQ especially lately. It's rude, bad ettiquette and I will refuse to play with people that see nothing wrong with this. As I have sent tells to these people asking why and they apparently see nothing wrong with what they have done.

So it's simple, stop leaving raid loot in the chest please, it's ticking me off.

If you have new people in your guild, please please let them know how wrong this is. Thanks.

They should all give it to me instead of leaving it there, sheesh

On a serious note though, that really sucks. Can't say I've seen that happen often but I don't really run much epics (where you've seen that happen). Would hate to see something I need left in a chest. I would guess it was someone that is :
"lol I have everything I need to I don't care about trash loot" and left it there to rot not caring about who might need it.
    Some people are like that...unfortunately...

It's their loot to do what they want with it.

    This.

It may be rude in *some* cases, totally appropriate in others.

    Default i dont understand

how is it rude and bad ettiquette?

Etiquette: is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior according to contemporary conventional norms within a society, social class, or group

expect nothing in a pug. my loot is my loot right? burn it, break it, sell it, whatever.still mine

The conventional norm, at least for people who like to run raids with others (PUG or not), is to pass loot if you don't want or need it. So yes, I'd call it a breach of etiquette.

Here's a good story: When I was about 5 or 6, my older cousin decided to get rid of his star wars figures. Rather than just pass them to me, he blew them up with firecrackers in a big cardboard box. His toys are his toys, right? Sure. But do you think I ever let him play with my toys or borrow anything?

    Hell no.

Meh, it's their loot they have every right to do what they want to with it, whether that be loot it, sell it, vendor it or leave it in there.

You also have the choice to not run with them again.

Very true it's their loot , their toon , their life. You can not control someone or have
dictatorship over someone. To do so would be suppressing them into your ways. Sorry the world does not revolve around you or me. My insight let it go it's just a game , and the loot will come back around to you in do time.

in before the "My loot, my choice" crowd! [edit: guess I didn't get in before them ]

This one is the DDO equivalent of giving your waiter a 1 penny tip. Do it if you mean to offend someone, otherwise you're just being a jerk.

    1) Stop using bad analogies that in no way resemble the issue at hand. (last time I looked PUGing isn't a service I pay for, directly anyways)

    2) Stop assuming everyone can read your mind and/or thinks and behaves the same way you do.

    3) (Most importantly) Please let it go more than a week before creating one of these types of threads again.

Loot left in the chest are for the loot gods. Raid loot is the most desired.
You don't want to upset the loot gods, do you?

Ya, it's your loot, but simply leaving it in there is bad form. Guess I'm old school, but it's a standard on Sarlona. Maybe not on your servers, but I particularly like the standard.

It's certainly not standard from what I have seen from my many years of running on Sarlona.

This is my server. I was in an eDeeps the other night and one of the guys left a shard in there. Was it an amazing shard? No. But useful to someone else I'm sure. Did it bother me? No because it was his shard to do with what he wanted.

It is somewhat rude to just let it rot without asking if anyone wants the loot, but it is that person's loot.

Also, I have found that some people will leave it in there just to spite the party because they were possibly harassed, not treated fairly, or just outright don't like the people in group, in which case you were just asking for it to happen.

It's also somewhat rude to assume you are entitled to other peoples loot. Surely it makes no difference to you if they take it or leave it. Either way you don't get it and have no right to it.
