Default Can Helfs switch Dilettante feats?

    Hi all,

I have a level 10 Helf Bard who is rapidly approaching WC2.

I originally took the fighter dilettante feat in order to be able to use any two-hander i could get my hands on.

At 12 however, I will be able to take the WC weapon proficiency and so the dillie will no longer be necessary.

Are Helfs able to use the feat switch feature to switch their dilettante feat?

    Yes.
They can, in fact, use tomes to qualify at any level, then swap - this is not possible with other feat stat requirements.
And.. yeah.. Master's touch is your friend.

Just curious, why didn't you use the spell Master's Touch?

Ummmm, lol, because I'm a noob and I'm also lazy.

Out of curiosity, which dillie would you suggest when I switch it out?

Rogue, for the sneak attack damage, is the 1st one that comes to mind

I'd suggest Paladin for the Save Boost, Barbarian for Hit Points, or Rogue for Sneak Attack

Hmm, what attribute does the Pally dillie require? I had thought it required wisdom (only at 10 even with +2 tome).

Rogue is possible, as I think I'm at 14 base Dex after +2 tome.

Paladin should be CHA 13, Barbarian is CON 13, and Rogue is DEX 13.

For what it's worth I'd have gone Fighter as well for the STR and Tactics DC boost.

+1 STR and Weapon Prof over 3.5 Damage, if you're not soloing.

Sunder is more useful if you need to actually hit the target more often to do damage.

3.5? Am I missing some magical part of fighter'tante that grants 7 sneak damage? =P

Sunder is a fort save. If you're having trouble hitting, I can gurantee you don't have enough strength to land sunder, 2 tiers of tactics or not. You'd need shattering weapons to be able to hit a useful dc, and if you're using other weapons anyway, you'd do better with improved destruction.

Weapon proficiency is available both by casting master's touch, and through WCII. It's a non-issue. Most warchanters splash something granting proficiency anyway, but nonetheless.

Hmm, valid points. Maybe I'll just leave it as is.

I primarily solo, so the SA damage won't help me much. The saves would be nice, but not necessary.

Heck, I dunno. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it

Yeah, I thought about the whole splash thing, but I'm kinda sick of multiclasses.

I wanted to experience a pure Bard.
