Default Need some feat/ap advice on a Halfling Light Monk

Good morning everyone. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on Feats/AP for a Halfling Light monk. I've found all kinds of builds for dwarves, HOrc and WF, but none really for Halflings.

I have been playing a Dark Monk and have been using Rockan Robin's template and it has been working well. However, a couple of friends of mine had decided to purchase the 32 point build (as I already have it) and are now starting over. Since we often party together, I agreed to create another toon and go light with this monk. Then decide which one I like better at level 6 (my current monk) and move forward from there.

Right now I'm level 2 (halfling 32 point build) so my stats are:

    Str - 13
    Con - 15
    Dex - 16
    Int - 8
Wis - 16 (is now 17 because of the +1 wis enhancement already)
    Cha - 8

I'm going Dex/Wis on her since well...she's a halfling and I've yet to see a STR halfling monk. So I still plan to dump all my level up stats into Wis. I also have +2 to all stat tomb to use at level 7 (if I decide to keep playing the light as my main. Might use it on the Dark Monk instead. Decisions, decisions... -.-)

Would the feats still be the same? Other than the level 3 path as I will be going Harmonious Balance on this one. These are the feats that I have on my Dark Monk.

    1 Two weapon fighting
    1 (monk) Toughness
    2 (monk) Weapon Finesse
3 (monk) Path of Inevitable Dominion/Path of Harmonious Balance
    3 Dodge
    6 Power Attack
    6 (monk) Stunning Fist

As for the AP enhancements, I've only really chosen the Wis level ups, Dex level ups, concentration, jump, Halfling guile/cunning and dark attacks etc on my Dark Monk. Since I am now going light, would it be the same (only light attacks) and should I also be investing in the healing enhancements as well?

I'm sorry for all the questions. I've only been playing for about a month or so and was getting really excited when I finally found a class that I enjoyed. Kind of bummed that I'm starting all over again for the...umpteenth time, because I was finally getting on to new content that I have repeated a gazillion times already. LOL. The things we do for friends.

Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Edit: Oh!! Also, another thing, I've been basically dumping my skill points into Concentration, Balance, and Jump. Since my Int is so low until I reach lvl 7 and am able to use my tomb, would I still continue to use those same stats for a light monk?

If your going light path i would suggest that you drop dodge or power attack to get something else like luck of heroes or cleave to qualify you for shintao at lvl 6

i would like to add that you could put off taking power attack till lvl 9 or so.
actually scratch that, you want to take improved TWF at lvl 9 (which means you need a base dex of 17 )

as for enhancements and skill points, jump, concentration and balance are a good combination and if you get more skill points later i like to put some in spot to see invis enemies.

    enhancements would likely be :
    grandmaster storms
adept of rock for access to
    fists of iron
improved recovery III for access to shintao II
    improved toughness
    halfling dex
    and monk wis

those i would say are required and the rest would be depending on your play style.
like you could go void strikes
    or halfling cunning/guile

Note that you'll find a jump +30 clickie at high lvl. Also, Jidz and wind stance adds +10 to jump.

You can stop raising jump at about 10 or 15. Same with balance. Max concentration of course, and UMD if you want to. Max jump is 40.

Martens has a nice light monk build that can be easily adapted to halfling. Someone just posted a Rockan light build they were working on...

Feat wise you will need to swap get o e of the Shintao feats if you want to go that route ( and I suggest you do) I'd swap dodge for luck of heros personally.

Ignore the guy that suggested dropping power attack , if you are hitting things you want/need/must have power attack.

Skills balance , concentraition and jump are fine choices ( the best actually) at level 1 I suggest only doing 3 points of jump and put the o e spare in tumble. other decent option is bluff to use your halfling SA burnt isn't a class feat. UMD is always a fine skill choice if you want to put the effort in to a non class skill.

Your APs look reasonable ,I'd shoot to get the monk healing amp for shintao , consider getting the halfling Sneak damage lines and consider grabbing unbalancing strike tocompliment it. Onceyou get done what you "need" fill in earth as much as you can for the tasty base damage add. Ohh and might as well to tier 3 or 4 on improved concentration it is cheap and helps with monk specials.

Stats look good but weigh the benefits of more dex fir your levels vs more wisdom for higher DCs.
Move along , Nothing to see here

While you might like to ignore advice, he might find it useful .
i didn't mean to drop power attack all together, just as a level 6 feat where your to-hit might suffer on a dex/wis build.

Thank you for all the responses! The Monk class is my 5th class I've tried out and interests me the most. The others I couldn't get in to so much, so I want to make sure I get everything right as best I can the first time through.

Just to clarify, I should stop the jump and balance at 10-15 for both light and dark?

Also, which is better, dex or wis? I had always thought to dump all stats into wis, at least that was what I was always told. LOL

for jump and balance: depends on play. do you solo alot?group often?
for solo i like to to jump at 20 because most the clickies i find are only for +10, and most arcanes i met dont carry jump.

for balance i find that 15 is the sweet spot

    as for dex or wis:
for a finesse build your dex is your to-hit and you dont want to skimp
    but
your wis powers all your dc's so you want that too.

maybe go half wis and half dex in lvl ups.
personally i put lvls in dex and boost wis with items.

I've gone the finesse route and so far my light monk is doing fine, healing curse really helps out a lot.
With guild buffs and fire stance you can do enough damage, especially on low levels.
