Default Is Point Blank Shot working?

The damage portion of this ability, and the bonus seem to be working. The issue I am seeing is with its range. The skill says it works up to 45 feet, when in fact it seems to only work at 15 feet. I've tested it many times, from far away (45+ feet) to half the distance (25 feet), and the damage is the same as if I were 50 feet away. But once I moved into 15 feet, i noticed my damage double.

    Anyone else experience this issue?

Perhaps the tooltip is incorrect? 45 feet doesn't strike me as "point blank," but 15 feet fits better.

i think you can tell the difference between 15 feet and 45 feet without a tapemeasure.

How are you getting the exact distance???

I actually asked/made a suggestion for finding out this information here:

i was judging the distance from where the damage was doubled. it was dealing double damage from not far away but normal damage just beyond that. Distance wise compare the character to where the double damage stopped, is about 15 feet.

I don't mean to be thick headed, but you are just estimating/guessing the distance then? I was just wondering if there was a method to get the exact distance your character is from an object.

    To test range:

    1) Find a guild ship (any but the level 20 one) with a training dummy on the main deck.
    2) Stand on top of the dummy (or as close as you can get) and type /loc, then record the coordinates.
    3) Carefully shoot at the dummy from various distances until you find exactly where PBS stops working.
    4) Type /loc again and record those coordinates
    5) Unsure of the exact numbers, but there is a conversion rate of the coordinates to feet. It should help you test exactly how far away PBS works.

Yup, it's just the scenery that scrolls past along with a current in the water to make the ship look like it's flying away.

Movement of the ship is just an illusion. It's actually a stationary object over water that has a very fast current.
