    Default Moar Wings ^^

Thought I'd join the choir and nag about the wings as well. A lot of ppl have been complaining about the fun and movement of wings, but claim not to be kiting that much. I kite a lot on my own, but seldom in groups. Though I'm really gonna miss the ease and speed of movement without the wing spamming. Some reports say that wings now regen at 3 sec while in town, which is good, but still put a downer on explorer areas and quests in general. So I have a suggestion to throw into the mix.

Why not keep the regen at 3 sec in both quest and city, but up the regen timer to 15 on being hit. That would keep the fun of wings and movement speed most ppl seem to want, and it would nerf the ability to use them while kiting. And you could keep the cost at 5 sp.

    Default Or...

Or they could just disable spells from being used while hopping around.

    Here's how I see it:

Wings work as they do now (sp cost, cooldown, etc)

    But...

Cannot use wings 5 seconds after casting a spell, and cannot cast a spell 5 seconds after using your wings

Now you can't kite, but still get that great mobility

5sec is a lifetime in this game. The difference between a 3 sec timer on a fvs and a 6sec timer sorc is huge. Five seconds timer between wings and casting spell is a horrible idea imo. You wouldn't just hinder kiting, but playability as well.

Well, maybe the timer has to be played with, but to me it would seem a better choice than 5 uses.

Well, I'd like more than 5 uses as well. I don't really see the need for any change at all. But, if they are going to change it, I'd like it to be as little as possible. Implementing a timer on being able to cast spells, in a fast pace game as this, would be a lot worse for the playability of the class then the change they've already done on Lamannia. If the kiting really is the problem, the the on being hit increase on regen timer would reduce kiting as well as keep the speed of moving around from a to b.
