I have always maintained that it's the 'fun' aspect of the wings (not the strategic) that I hold dear. If Turbine has, in fact, restored my ability to zip around in public areas then I thank them for the compromise...and of course, the change.

I still very much love my FvS, after a couple of hours contemplating on what to TR into.. I still have to say FvS has been the best gaming experience for me... and it's one purchase I don't regret buying. (Unlike Threnal. )

Slightly better, still not enough.
I think they should extend this from being only in town to being everywhere while out of combat. So they're unlimited except for long boss fights which is where the devs wanted them nerfed anyways.
Though, does ddo have a in-combat/out-of-combat distinction? Off the top of my head I can't think of any in game mechanic that makes a distinction for that.

The only mechanic is friendly/non-friendly areas, which is basically the same as in town/out of town and as far as I remember is used only for the logout timer and the phiarlan time pendant.

glad i can zip around public areas now happy with the 6 instant then 1 every 15 sec everywhere else

I am actually happy that they decided to listen and make adjustments to their nerf.

Zipping around town is where LoF sees its most use on my char. Well that and chasing people around in raids trying to heal them while they try their best to die in new, interesting and imaganitive ways

Glad that they made this change.

Still not happy with the nerfing in any way, but at least my "fun" factor in using FvS "Leap of Faith" is back.

This modus operandi is so sad and old that i wonder why people always approve it in the end: someone threatens to do something really really really really bad and all complain. Then they just do something bad, and more than half of those who were complaining stop complaining and are grateful.

It's exactly the same as they did with the crafting 'improvements'. That people can't see right through it is just... sad.

amen sweez i do see right though it and i am still not happy not at all i am going to say this to my fellow fvs. We want this fixed lets go on strike if this goes live every one needs heals if a buch of healers wont heal turbine will have to listen.

That is a good change. I like having the ability to spam them in town more then anything.

Now if we could only manage to get the devs to change the color of them, so we do not feel so embarrassed having yellow snow colored wings , The pally DOS wings look so sweet compared to a fvs.

I still don't think the change will address the 'raid' issue and 'hurts' a lot more players than the 'kiting' ever did.

My big concern is that people will back down on this. Guys fvs are one of the two most important support classes in the game if we want to be. For the vast majority of groups especially end game groups it is no heals no go. we can stop this even if they try and go live with it by refusing to heal we just have to have solidarity.
