    Default Wings updated

I was wondering what did the latest update bring since I haven't found anything new in the release notes. Then I logged on my FvS and was thrilled to find out that the wings regenerate at the rate of one per 3 seconds while in towns!

    Thanks devs!

alot of people were saying the wings were fun. zippy zippy around town. fun fun fun.

someone else suggested this change in another topic.

now that it's been given to us... there's still complaining.

While I wish it was back to the old way - I'll take it. Zipping through wilderness areas was always the best way to move and I never used wings to kite or anything.

But if this is how it is; so be it. Still doesn't fix the issues with the raid tho.

At least this shows that there trying to compromise.

You might not be saying "thank you for only taking my finger and not my arm" but we all know you're going to be grateful that they only took your finger and not your arm.

I'm not going to be grateful anyway.

This modus operandi is so sad and old that i wonder why people always approve it in the end: someone threatens to do something really really really really bad and all complain. Then they just do something bad, and more than half of those who were complaining stop complaining and are grateful.

While I would prefer to just have wings locked out by chains, etc. this is a nice step in a good direction.

Of course, I'd also like to be able to wing out to ADQ, but that's me. Can't have everything.

That would defeat the purpose of wings as a defensive tool.

Which is exactly why the wings were nerfed in the first place.

I, like many, didn't use them that way. Speed, mobility, etc.

Generally speaking, my FVS can take a hit if I pull aggro.

Oh yea, also, hooray for town spammability! I'd prefer it be much more widespread, or even that chains prevent flying (wings could still be defensive, but come on, you can fly when you're chained to the ground. Not many mobs cast chains anyway), but I'll take what I can get.

    Slightly better, still not enough.
I think they should extend this from being only in town to being everywhere while out of combat. So they're unlimited except for long boss fights which is where the devs wanted them nerfed anyways.
Though, does ddo have a in-combat/out-of-combat distinction? Off the top of my head I can't think of any in game mechanic that makes a distinction for that.
