Just because something is core doesn't mean it should be added....a -2Str/+2con race is relatively pointless so either it needs to be a gnome sub race with better stats (preferably bonuses to int so they will make awesome illusionist wizards) or not be bothered with.

/signed for gnomes, we need more races for shortmen runs.

The movies remind me about Tieflings & Aasimars as well :-/

And dont beat me but i like favor onlock. As long as it will be in same sane range like 1500total favor or 2000.
SInce: It can be acquire by premium users by just playing the game and bying the packs.
The bying packs is profit for turbine, and company need to earn.
Inpatient could take it easy and by it for 900tp - promocions.
VIPs just need to run some content and its their.

So, release Core, boring gnomes as a f2p race and then add some p2p subraces like Svirfneblin and Tinker (as other posters have suggested).

This would give a good variety which would interest a wide variety of players.

You could even have it something like Gnome: FtP, Tinker: Favour, Svirfneblin: P2P to keep everyone happy

Not just gnomes, we need garden gnomes! And evil alignment. And make them p2p. Then give me all the money! After all, they are my idea.

/so totally not signed. Put in Changelings or something that would actual originality to the game. Gnomes have as much place in this game as well....honestly they aren't even comparable in how little they contribute when it comes to player characters. They don't add anything in all honesty other than a slightly different appearence with little more roleplay value. You get a fatter hafling who's intel based.

There's so many ebberon setting races that will help diversify the setting. We need more monstrous humanoid races, Goblins, Changlings, Tieflings. Something beyond your casual slightly altered human.

Changelings seem a bit short on the racial abilities in for a video game. Shifters or Kalashtar maybe but I would prefer to still see gnomes as well.

If I remeber correctly they have high inteligence and High Charisma to be honest they sound like a perfect magic-race. Plus a large diplomacy boost.
    Honestly they'd be pretty effective.

I have no idea of Kalashtar but I'd totally support Shifters. (I couldn't remember the name for shifters)

Overall they're kinda unimportant in comparison to what should be done first.

No ability adjustments, bonus to bluff and sense motive, minor shapechange gives a +10 bonus to disguise IIRC. Not much to work with.

There might be a way to interpret that into the game but that might take some serious liberties with interpreting the intent of the abilities.

Kalashtar would come with psionics I imagine, shifters are a good option IMO. That doesn't mean we can't also have gnomes.

We don't play 4th ed here.

I can see them going with some 4th ed adjustments tho.

I suspect shifters would have the same problems that druids have: shapeshifting. I don't think the engine is setup to handle it yet.

We have some progress with pale masters and shape shifting. It sounds like we might actually have druids within the next year. It wouldn't surprise me if we were to see shifters first as we see development for shapeshifting, or see them come out at the same time.

Tell that to Half-Elf...if we used 3.3,5 h-elf it would blow monkey chunks.

I like that their not afraid to cherry pick stuff from any edition if it works better...or hell just make it up themselves.

I hope so. I seems like they are taking baby steps in that direction. First pale master forms to overlay abilities and now the artificer doggies which do a transformation real time on screen.

I would agree and I think that was part of the long wait. I was never a fan of half elves in PnP but in DDO they are one of the better races IMO.

    Monkey chunks are always bad.
