It's just like FvS. VIPs have to buy or unlock through favor :/

but the cannith favor wont be enough til U12.

VIPs will, however, get the adventure packs (needed to get the favor to unlock Artificer) for free.

If you are a "I must have this now" group then yes you will be paying... there just isn't enough House C favor from its first AP, this is fix with U12 onward! So if you are willing to wait a bit, EVERYONE can unlock it with favor after U12.

I'm still wondering why I am a VIP? It seems like with the TR unlock of hard and elite there are fewer and fewer reasons to actually stay VIP.

If you are a "I must have this now" group then yes you will be paying... there just isn't enough House C favor from its first AP, this is fix with U12 onward! So if you are willing to wait a bit, EVERYONE can unlock it with favor after U12.

This is not so much as a 'must have now' as a reason why anyone should remain VIP.

I agree for Premium or f2p but When I pay 15/month for a game I expect to get all new content without paying extra. is this unreasonable?

I intended to renew my VIP sub just for this class, and of course all the benefits VIP brings but I dont think I will bother now seeing as how VIPs seem to be getting nothing major for their money. When I sub a game I dont expect anything in it to cost me more money save for a few niche items from the store.

im hardcore premium i believe in it but i also believe there a place for vip, many who have read my post in other threads know this.

that said, vip pay a monthly plan so they don't have to "buy" stuff like this, the vip plan is suppose to unlock everything where as premium u unlock what u want as you go so if vip have to spend vip for this this its effing lame pardon my french. i have no problem with premium like me or f2p like others having to buy it from ddo store

I didnt read all so I dont know if is been said.

1. TP is free for all if you grind it out. It takes time, but that is all.

2. It is a favor unlock. so it is free for everyone

2.1 Not having the favor available at release is cow doodie. how many months to sit on it.

I can say that I caved to FvS , and oddly my was my first toon to 2500 favor.

Frankly turbine could unlock the class for VIPs, the fact that they wont is a slap in the face. They take our money every month with the agreement that we have FULL access to the game and everything in it. Except this thing here, you can't have this until we get more money.

This surely has to breach some terms of service or something, I mean they should have be up front about it when they started releasing stuff on U11. But no they didn't, get everyone excited then hit them with the bill. Thanks turbine, I know you are a business and all but one thing a big business should remember......customer f*cking satisfaction.

VIP's dont get access to Drow/FVS, so you aren't paying for 'FULL access' But I do agree that Turbine should give Artificer to VIP's... Not giving it to them IS a punch in the face, and Will Detract from appeal to potential subscribers.

i think people need to calm down. like someone mentioned vips dont get fvs free. So why would they get the jack of all trade free. your expecting turbine to give everything just right off that bat just like that. YOU expect way too much from them. just give them a break

I can understand Drow and FVS though as they arent a core race/class to the setting, Artificer is a core class, same as monk and thats what people are getting so angry about. The fact that they finally add a core class and tell us to pay for it. We sub for full access, Artificer should be included, end of. I dont even think they should be releasing it at all if they isn't enough favour to earn it. Frankly this is VERY VERY bad business.

And I don't think people do need to calm down, I think they need to tell Turbine exactly what they think. VIPs pay enough and everyone should have the right to speak their mind. Oh btw we dont expect anything for free, we pay good money every single month. That isn't free my friend. So please think before you speak.

If I was a VIP I'd be angry about being asked to wait for a possible favor unlock, that may or may not happen, or pay for the new class. It feels like a pure money grab and shows a general lack of regard for "VIP". Apparently what they mean by "VIP" is more like short term subscriber, potential premium customer, who is what they really care about.

It sort of make sense from a accounting point of view, money now is worth more than possible future money, but it still is going to be taken as a breach of trust by many VIP subscribers. The way they market VIP they really should get everything opened, including FvS and Drow. To add a shiny new class, and then say, nope you cant have it unless you pay extra on top of you subscription will not be taken well.

Turbine is giving less reasons for people to be VIP's and more reasons to just go premium. Now, if this could be unlocked right off the bat with favor when its released, then I won't have as big of a gripe. Even so, VIP is supposed to be convenient, and with good perks worth subbing for, so regardless, I believe they should get it whether or not favor is involved. This is just a big, "Thank you but we don't need your subs, we just need raw cash right here, right now."

I really hope turbine listen to people on this one, a lot of people will feel angry about this and given that VIPs expect to get all classes and races without waiting this one will come as a surprise to those who dont read these forums. I urge Turbine to seriously rethink the choice (and it is a choice) not to give VIPs what they rightfully pay for.
