Hilarious Princess....Sorry your life is so medicore after all this time..Lol, you are scared of a farmer? with a tractor....?
By the same time Star Wars Old Republic is launched maybe? No offence Cordovan but simple plain facts are DDO plays in two different markets. I'm interested in how many subscribers who cant afford to buy content and don't want to be excluded from content in the game they play may sub to STOR and drop their Turbine sub, then lose interest in DDO as they are excluded from content.

I'm more interested in seeing how many subs say enough. There's enough rumbling among the people I know in game. Not quantitative by any means but more then I've seen on any issue since launch. Could just be the rapid fire nature of the latest controversial plans (wings, crafting feats, artis) etc..Bring the chaos!

I'm surprised so many people are making such a big deal about this - if they set the favor requirement to 3000 or 4000 or take your pick, it would be so incredibly out of reach that maybe 0.1% of the player base could expect to ever get it without months and months and months of grueling, unpleasant labor - when Favored Soul came out, it was practically the same deal. People are crying over what is essentially them being more upfront and honest - you're going to have to pay for it anyway if you're 99% of the player base that hasn't already grinded to 3000+ favor, and if that player base wants to grind it out, it'll take until far after u12 for them to get.
If anything, the eventual reward of artificer at a pathetically small 150 favor is almost giving it away for free in u12 - 150 favor is nothing.
I'm GLAD that I only have to wait a month or two for 150 favor instead of being forced to do the most unpleasant pointless grind ever to hit 3000 favor, that would probably take me much longer than two months anyway!. I also understand that turbine is in this to make money. As far as the VIP thing goes - as a VIP myself, I don't really care - I have more than enough VIP points, and it's not like I'm spending them on much anyway at this point. If artificer ends up being released in a useful state (it's fluctuating wildly on lammania), I might end up buying it early - Otherwise, I might wait until u12 anyway just for the inevitable bugfixes and rebalancing.

Hey VIPs here's a big "T"you, for paying your monthly sub we are gonna let you pay more for the new class. Isn't that cool of us!!!
Now sub the "T" for an "F" and you get my real meaning
Do you have any clue how many OCD people play this game?
I have a guildy that has his "favor" toon go back to all the lowbie explorers as they come out and completes them just so they are not open in his adventure book i have at least 7-8 guildies that always get max favor as soon as it's available i'm 100% sure they are not the only ones.
I'm not a big favor person and would have just bought it like i did fvs even tho i was only 300 favor away it's not something i like to do but this releasing with no way to unlock except to pay well thats underhanded.
As a 5 year VIP I am disappointed by the decision to not provide a new class as part of the VIP perks.
Two thumbs down Turbine.

3250, maybe 3500 would be more in line with the favor reward curve as it so far exists (the last two gaps have been 750 each). Franky, I think they are holding that spot for gnomes so as not to have to make them more powerful than the F2P races in order to justify selling the race outright. Easier to sell convenience than power than isn't there.
Gonna play devil's advocate a second...
VIPs - we've been getting double TPs for a couple months. Probably enough to pay for that class. Coincidence? I'm not debating that earlier communication would've been nice, but when the chaos is wiped off of this whole deal we'll still be getting the class on day 1 for basically free even tho we have to toss some TPs back into the pool.
It may be easier for me to say cuz I'll be buying them anyway to open them up on all servers.
That's where I played my penny, anyhow.
This statement reminds of when I was doing my last round of manger interviews for my store. "Please tell me of a time when you had to support an unpopular decision" It always makes them squirm
Sorry you have to deal with this, but it is pretty crappy for most folks and there's some great points in here if you wade through the muck. I myself, don't care and will probably buy Artificer when it first hits live![]()

"drink triple ... see double ... act single! uh oh wife aggro" *hides*
I'm not VIP.
But this situation remind me VAT problem with EU players.
Explanation is quite simple:
- Before Update 12 come live Artificer is Premium Class (there is no other option then DDO Store), thus should be for free for VIPs
- After Update 12 Artificer become Favor Class (just like FvS), thus should not be free for VIP any more (they need unlock them by Favor or buy by TP)
From my perspective, VIP players have full right to demand what they paid for (Link)
If Turbine do nothing, they lose confidence.
I have been a VIP for about a year and a half but stopped being a VIP about 2 months ago because I wanted something new. I just started back up a week ago in a 3 month for 29.99 deal thinking that I would play the new class and the new quest when it opens up. To be honest if its not there on release date I may play some but most probably end my VIP subscription and go find something else to do.
Have a great day!
