    Default Crossbows in U11

So I see in the latest release notes that crossbows have been fixed to be affected by BAB. Does anyone feel like testing?

Is haste boost, rapid shot and haste affecting Rate of Fire and if so, how? Is it only speeding up the firing portion but not the reloading?

Does rapid reload affect the entire shooting process or just speed up reloading?

5 attack speeds from fastest to slowest afaik:
    Light Crossbow
    Heavy Crossbow
    Great Crossbow
    Light Repeating Crossbow
    Heavy Repeating Crossbow
(though repeating bows fire 3 bolts at a time)

Anyone confirm this? Is a light repeating crossbow going to do more DPS than a heavy with a certain level of gear?

Just did some testing today with my lvl 4 Art with rapid reload and rapid shot with the crossbows

Bolts/bursts fired while stationary without haste over 1 min:
    Light Crossbow: 44 shots
    Heavy Crossbow: 45 bolts
    Great Crossbow: 45 shots
    Light Repeater: 34 bursts
    Heavy Repeater: 34 bursts

So it seems to me that in a Light/Heavy crossbow choice, always pick heavy if both are equal; same for repeaters.

More stationary crossbow testing, this time on a 13 wizard

No rapid reload or rapid shot:
    Heavy Crossbow: 28 shot with a BAB 6; 34 hasted / 32 with BAB 13; 39 hasted

    Light Crossbow: 29 shots BAB 6; 36 hasted / 34 with BAB 13; 39 hasted

    With Rapid Reload:
    Heavy Crossbow: 39 shots with a BAB 6; 46 hasted; 45 with BAB 13; 49 hasted

    Light Crossbow: 39 shots with a BAB 6; 46 hasted; 45 with BAB 13; 49 hasted

Conclusion: No rate of fire difference between heavy/light crossbows; pick heavy unless the light is a paralyzer

I've seen in numerous other threads that there is a slight difference between light and heavy when you get faster attack speeds for instance with feats, 20 BAB and haste.

Endless Fusillade also seems to be affected by the difference between light and heavy, or at least that is what has come through in the posts that I've read.

The differences are magnified by BaB, so testing at level 4 doesn't give you the full picture. That said, overall you're probably going want to stick with Heavy repeaters for DPS. A light repeater still won't be a bad alternative, and might be preferable for things like wounding where more hits is better than higher base damage.

I would really like to see a test at level 20 comparing repeaters with and without rapid shot.

I have seen people saying that rapid shot is not worth it for repeaters, but old tests seemed to indicate it did make a difference and I have not seen any tests about it on the most recent build.

It is probably my only big question before Artis go live on Monday, whether or not it is worth its feat slot.
