Default What do I have to do to pull the Seal for Midnight Greetings?

I've pulled every other seal from that pack. Midnight Greetings is the only one I need.

Is there an altar I have to sacrifice something on? A dance I need to do? Diplo the chest? Bluff the General Manager? Disable all the traps? Run around in circles in the slave quarters while dancing?

Just tell me what to do!

That chest is a stingy one. It took me about a month to get the seal for the bracers, and most of those runs were complete skunks.

I can't get the Fang seal to save my life...

I may have to quit epics... Only the fact that I still need epic tokens keeps me from feeling that the nights where I run epics were a total waste...

I hate random drop grinding (where something you want only drops in one place) ...

But my dragonmarked fighter really really wants that Fang.

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Dang it. You think I can bluff the chest into thinking I don't want it? I have a high bluff.

No. Tried it. It doesn't work. You have to genuinely not want it.

You need 3 hirelings...I believe for the Midnight Seal it is FVS/Cleric/Bard.

Summon the FVS in the beginning then you have to sacrifice him in the traps.

Go back to the beginning Summon the Cleric and Send him to attack the Manager by himself, let him die.

Go back to the beginning one last time, summon the bard. Have him sing inspire courage on you, kill the Manager yourself. Have the bard sing to you again, kill the elementals then open the chest.

If this does not work submit a ticket explaining all that you did and it is not WAI.

    Good luck!

I noticed that the chest on "Spies on the house" is less stingy than the other 2. That quest is fun in ways that many people don't like, though

    Wink

Another way to get btc items you want with close to a 98% success rate is to run the quest with another toon. You will almost certainly get the item you want.

Case Study: Many many many Von's looking for the Sos for my fighter. Get my cleric flagged, 1st run, Sos.

    Victory? You decide!

The entire House D chain is seriously stingy, and for little real reason. The items are so build specific.

My regular group together has about 3 times the amount of complete epic Desert items (including raid and explorer items) than they do House D items, and we've run WAY more House D quests than the Desert.

I believe House D seals are not restricted to specific quests. You can run all 4 non-tide quests each day if you want, and each quest may drop your seal.

They are telling you not but lies.
the procedure to make an EPIC Midnight greetings is simple.

    1. Must be TR2+ true nuetral alignment rogue assassin.
    2. Must kill 100 lawful good persons with Assassinate.
    3. Speak with the envoy of shadows.
    4. Loot shard seal scroll and weapon.
    5. ?

    Karma.

Karma is the one true balancing act that will see you right and good in the end.

    True Stories
    1. Join a random pugger doing Bloodstone runs. I comment that I'm not doing the runs for myself (I own 4 thanks to lucky pulls and purchases), but for my other half who is really after one but has never had one drop for her. My co-runner goes "Whats her name?" and sends her one in the post. He doesn't care he says, he's looted 3 in the past week. After a series of OMGs, Thank-you Thank-you's and nice comments all round, we do another 1 last run. Another Bloodstone drops to him!

    2. Demon Queen Raid - looting on normal runs for my Battle-Cleric, aimlessly trying to get to 20 completions for a chance at Torc on final rewards list. On my 7th run, missus pulled the Torc and handed straight in the chest to me. Being a gent, I put it up for roll, as there were others who could possibly make some use of such a valued item. I cam 2nd on the roll with a 98, where as the winner rolled a perfect 100. Winner decided that I would be better suited to the Torc after all, and passed it back to me in the end. Torc went through three different sets of hands!

Karma my friend. Go spread some loot love for other people desperately looking for items. Give away something particularly valueable to a guildy desperately looking to complete Greensteel or an Epic item.

Karma will see you good in the end
