Cleaning up old connection

Just started happening to me today. When I try to log in, it freezes on the splashscreen and says 'Cleaning up old connection'.

Does anyone know the cause or solution for this?

Has happened to me a few times as well. I know my connection is stable. But it only happened on lammaland, and even then, only after crash-out... Screen-freeze, etc.

I simply remedied by logging into my main server thru the main gateway. It let me in my characters on the live servers, so tried lamma again, and poof was back where my character was standing on crash.

Try logging in to another server to the character screen and then close and log back into Argonnessen (if this is on live)

It normally arose through abrupt disconnects.
