Question Thoughts on the new Conan the Barbarian movie

    If you have seen it.

Oh! And ******Spoiler Alert******* just in case.

I just got back from seeing it. I have pros and cons.

    Pros:

    - It was much closer to how I interpreted Howard's world as a kid when I first read the books.

    - I like Momoa as Conan. (I never liked Arnold in much of anything at all, so I'll admit bias)

    - The special effects were great. I especially liked the sound effects. Wow! I wanted to start swinging a weapon.

    Cons:

    - It was a choppy ride. They jumped here and there and could've been smoother with the tale.

    - What was with the Monk girl leaving after bumping uglies with Conan just to end up getting caught!? C'mon! Try writing a real plot point, please.

    - Lastly, NOT ENOUGH MAGIC!!!

Okay, that is my two cents.

    What do you guys think?

    And thanks ahead of time.

Well quoting the film which paraphrased REH rather than Nietzche and Ghengis Khan.

My wife is actually a big Conan book fan, so she wanted to see it for our Anniversary (seriously!).

I thought it was ok. Sadly the time we wanted to see, was in 3D which I'm not a fan of as I get a headache from the eye strain by the end of the movie, but oh well.

I thought it was short, lacked plot (Turbine has produced better plots than this movie)...

...but I wasn't there to see that, I was there to see half naked men and women, swing swords and killin' stuff. And there was plenty of that.
