Default Suggestion To Turbine About Pvp And Wilderness!!!

This is just a suggestion for pvp. instead of having pvp in just taverns, I think that people can attack eachother in the wilderness at anytime. and for the wilderness, you can see other people in the wilderness even out of party. So it can add a more interesting experience to pvp raids. also it will help guilds make territories in the wilderness and have an all around better experience for guild vs. guild. oh and if you guys end up taking up that idea, can you add in the idea "tents"? if you don't get my idea check out planeshift. people basically can put a tent down at anytime(the tents will basically be like small taverns, and rest shrines) and go on in there. it will help guilds prepare for the raids and trust me, if Turbine does this, it will make the game so much more fun when it comes to PVP and Raids.
    please take this idea!!!

    no just no.

way to much potential for griefing and for people like me who have zero interest in pvp, getting my ship buffs, heading running towards quest only to get ganked would be probably enough to make me quit.

That's a horrible idea. The strength of this game if PvE and private instances. The last thing we need is rare camping and griefing.

eh.. ya you got a point... how about some different areas for PVP. kinda like the wilderness except no xp goes on in there? cause I don't really like PVP in small taverns. I like huge pvp areas like in other games :P

Problem is, make the area too large - even one as large as the Tangleroot map - and people would have a hard time finding each other to PvP. It's just not a popular enough option in this game to support a large, or even mid-sized, map. It would wind up being dull wandering the map looking for other people to try to kill, and people would camp only the zone-in areas because that is where the highest likelihood of finding other people would be - thereby making the move to a larger outdoor environment moot.

I only support this idea if it'd get the PvP out of the taverns. If there were no quest-givers in the Lobster, I'd never go in there. I hate, hate, hate having PvP in taverns.

Why yes I think having a lvl 20 camping out in the Korthos Wilderness, at the entrance to the town would improve the game tremendously. Even more so if they do nothing, but keep an active cloudkill going so all the new players can die before the screen has loaded.

It would also be awesome to put this at the entrance to misery peak. Nobody would ever get to leave the island... their only plan is to get to lvl 20 by killing rares in the wilderness at 2xp per hit.

Sadly, the taverns are just big enough.

Ever seen anyone do the Capture the Flag PvP option? The one that even now goes to an outdoor, or at least larger, environment? Yeah... there is a reason for that.

We disagree with you so WE don't understand? Maybe you should read the rest of the posts again, you probably just didn't get it the first time.

This a D&D based game and PvP is not and should not ever be the focus. The players would revolt and the game would die.

hmm, how to say it nicely?

    No, Nein, Non, ....

What makes DDO the game it is it that PvP is an afterthought and is limited to the brawling pits in the taverns ( and the specific instances reachable from there ).
Putting PvP in the explorer areas would bring DDO in the mainstream MMOs and just let LVL 20 happily gank LVL 1s when entering Korthos Explorer.

Changing anything on the scope of PVP ( beside getting rid of it ) is the best way to kill DDO.

Now I'm going to ask the pointed question : are you the new incarnation of H4x0r ?

the game not meant for that..

whatever some people might think ddo is a horrible pvp game and is more suited for carebears .

imagien the griefing you can do at the entrance of a quest when people cant dw themself before they enter and because of lag and loading times the moment you zoned in you got 20 negative lvls and are turned to stone for the next 3 hours

that would be cool, pvp in the wilderness is awesome and i dont mean like people just going out in like a searing hieghts instanance i mean like a insntant that has tons of stuff to collect like first person to get to 10 streak wins something. and the difficulty should have like one = levels 3-5 and then 6-10 and then 11 to 14 and 15-17 and 18-20 so that its a fair enough chance for any to win

Sick idea. I see those trolls camping in each wilderness to make our game-life harder just for own satisfaction.

I like this idea, I'm not a pvp player....at all I've done 3 pvp matches joking around but this is a great idea that'll make a fun addition.
