    Default Inventory Management

SO, stuff gets strung out all over your characters and as they level stuff gets transferred around. I am sure we all have done the log-and-hunt drill trying to find an item on one of your toons. My suggestion is that an app is added to the character selection screen at least to check inventory of the toon you are logging into, before you actually log in. Better if you could check what was in their bank account too. Even better if you could do this from in game for another of your toons. Not necessarily having access to the item, just being able to find it.

A better improvement would be to enable a search function across all toons inventory and/or bank.

    Talking spreadsheet program?

What is a spreadsheet program too nerdy? rotfl

I've been told it is, but they don't laugh when I can just pull up my spreadsheet and know where stuff is :P

Another option is to put certain item types on certain toons.

    jojo has necklaces,
    ana has weapons,
    etc.

I use the "nteractive DDO Game Guide" application to manage my items. But having to manually input and manage all the items across multiple toons can be difficult.

A search feature would be great, one that covered all toons would be even better.

I spent about an hour looking over all my toons, just to remember/find it in my TR bank.

I tried doing that, but keeping it up to date with who has what if a PITA! Makes the game more work than it already is.

As for keeping certain items on toons I do that quite a bit. E.g. Lionsclaw has named weapons, etc... BUT when stuff starts getting dispersed to toons for use then I lose track. TR banks, House K banks, and inventory tabs, oh my!.

I agree. I just spent 3 hours on 5 characters sorting out all the gear and items I have been saving.

I would much rather have spent the same 3 hours actually playing the game.

Yeah. I spent 3 hours sorting and only got about 3/4s of the way done, then my computer crapped out and I took a forced month break. Now I don't know where I left off or where anything is again. lol ^_^
I play this game. It is fun.

Far from perfect is the application I built called Packrat.

I just did a major upgrade to Packrat and am alway looking for ideas and ways to improve so feel free to give it a try.

I also 100% agree a built in solution, ideally that we could access out of game, would be the best.

I only keep the levels 1 & 2 bound to account items and craft the rest with a designated toon. When I'm finished with a crafted item, instead of putting it away like any other item, I recycle it and use all new shards. That way there's no clutter and I don't have to spend hours searching and moving stuff around like I used to.
