Default Turbine, give us more payment methods!

Heya guys, I recently stopped playing DDO for a while now, I've hit level 12 in my Spellsinger Bard and I can't advance much more because of the lack of quests and things to do. I know I have some quests to do and I can grind them, but that's the problem - besides finding a party - I'm looking for fun in a game after a long day (Yay for employment), not spending half an hour looking for F2P parties and doing the same dungeons I did yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that...

So my problem, and my solution ironically, is the ability to subscribe to VIP. At the moment Turbine only has 2 Payment methods available for Portugal (And I presume it's the same for most other countries, maybe even America, but not sure) - Credit Card and Pay Pal - Now there's issues with these 2 methods for me.

Credit Card - As far as I know, you need to pay extra taxes to have a CC, and I would only use it to buy the VIP subscriptions and the occasional treat, so it wouldn't compensate - I'm unsure how it works but I should only have to pay for what I want to get, and not extras, am I right? So this option is unavailable for me.

Pay Pal - I've heard a lot of bad things about Pay Pal, besides the fact that I would have to wait 3-4 days for my payment to arrive so I could spend it, I saw somewhere Pay Pal doesn't actually work in DDO, and I'm not taking chances, unless some fellow Portuguese could tell me it 100% works.

Either way, even if I could/wanted to use these options, I should be allowed to choose from more. I'm quite familiar with Paysafecard, which honestly is a great way of trading/payment and very safe, hence the name, so please Turbine, let us pay you, open your wallet for us! I'm sure there are more people like me (Specially underaged people whose parents don't allow to have a credit card or can't mess with their bank account).

All they have to do is add turbine point cards to stores here in Canada, and they'll make 60+ bucks off me (probably several times )

I forgot that one method, but nevertheless, it's nonexistent in Portugal as well :/

I don't know about VIP, but players can buy TP with phones.
This, and world-wide avaible cards for cash would be good for alternative VIP/TP payment methods.

You can buy TP's with Paypal, but from my understanding not a subscription on a recurring basis. And I do not know what horror stories you have heard about Paypal, but in the 6 years I have been using them, and them alone for nearly ALL of my online payments, I have only had one Ebay seller try some shenanigans on me, and I personally did not catch it, but Paypal sure did and contacted me by phone, and promptly, so prompt we were only 1/2 way through the phone call, refunded $600 to my debit card.

I have nothing but high praise for Paypal, and when I purchase things on Ebay, and get to the checkout, if a seller wants me to enter my information into their website to by pass Paypal, I contact said seller and apologize to them, and make it clear my information will not be getting added into their database, they ALWAYS understand and cancel the order for me, or they email me their Paypal payment info so I can pay through Paypal.

You may be better off looking on Ebay for some DDO TP cards, I do not know if there are any, but might be worth a look.

Paypal to me is one of the better places you can have your information, I could be in a minority, but it does not matter how secure a website is if you have any keyloggers or other bad things on your computer. Also, I use my virtual keyboard when logging into secured site, and will move it around the screen to make myself feel better about security as well.

Good luck, hope you find something that works for you, because even if you just buy TP's and purchase content, you will be about the happiest little apple in the tree once you do.

Things I would recommend for you: Vale of Twilight, Gianthold, and shared bank. Among others, lol.

Guess I didn't explain myself well enough, but I'm looking for a VIP subscription, not buying TP. I'm specifically definetly undoubtely surely wanting VIP and defintely not TP. So if Pay Pal doesn't allow that, that's just another reason not to use it.

Edit: Same with the TP Cards, obviously.

I'm confused as to why credit cards aren't an option there.
I have had many credit cards, and most of them don't charge you any fees other than the ridiculous interest charges that occur monthly. So long as you don't have large balances, the fees aren't bad. For what you'd use it for, it would probably be pennies.

Granted, I know nothing of your home country, I live in the USA.
The other option is to have a debit card on your bank account. This works exactly like a credit card, only there are no fees. It is simply a virtual extension of your money already in the bank.

Third option would be to just ask a friend or family member to use theirs, provided you make the payment.

Those were probably the ones I was referring to. Granted I don't know squat about credit cards - I'd appreciate it a lot if I could get some information

Actually that is another option for you. You can go and buy a prepaid visa, mastercard, or whatever credit card, and you can use that to pay for a monthly subscription as well.

Yes, great thought. The prepaid ones could be right up your alley.

Credit Cards are a big choice, there are many things to know. I'm not going to give detailed advice on this, other than ask an adult you trust to help you.

Know what you're getting into, keep your spending as small as you can, and make your payments. In no time at all, you'll have a credit score, which is a big part of things like buying houses, cars, getting loans, etc..

See? DDO is a step towards maturity!
Bet you didn't see that one coming.

Apart from ebay and the like, cards are avaible only in States (unless some local shop near border buys some from USA and sells on place).
