Stereo stops playing when running ddo client

My stereo is hooked up to my laptop using an audio jack(obviously) and when i log into my ddo account on the client and it loads the interface to choose my characters my sound then starts to come from my laptop even with my stereo hooked up. If I click exit game my sound instantly starts to work out of my stereo again. I would really like for my stereo to work while playing the game.

Your computer probably is only running the sounds from whatever source is on top (which is a good thing most of the time).

Like when I go to check something on the wiki (with ddo still running), all the sounds coming from ddo stop (except vc for some reason).

try searching through your computer settings to get the radio to take precedence over the other sounds. (you may not be able to hear vc in this case, however)

first i'd check windows settings and see what your default sound output is,2nd check the ddo settings themselves as you can change what is used for audio IE: which mic if using headset or onboard where ur VC output is speakers/headset
