Listen, LISTEN I SAID!
When you get to using your large mats....and you imbue the 2 supreme shards. MAKE SURE YOU COMBINE THE SHARDS BEFORE YOU PUT THEM IN YOUR HELMET.
That is all.

you wont get the tier 3 duel shard bonus affect that is concordant opposition, and you will cry![]()
Dex - Leader - THΣ ЏΠΣΔЯТΗΣÐ ΔЯСΔΠΔI don't do serious, it no fun
Nope. Dual shards recipes are very expensive large-wise...
Welcome to Crafting in ddoMy advice is to lvl about 7 toons so each of them can farm shroud for large's. If you just farm with one toon good luck getting a tierIII gs item within a year.
The only way to make it cheaper is not to do it.
Personally, I think conc-opp is only worth it if you expect to be in situations where you'll turtle up to regain mana. The returns on investment are too low for "normal" quest running.
Of course, this varies by situation. I don't have enough mats to make all the GS weapons and items I want for all my characters. I also don't have all the epics and other items I want, so saving larges for trading is higher value to me.
And, I have a torc.
NO there is no short cut it takes what it takes. Better get used to it as alot of the good items are double shard so take twice the larges as a single shard item. Just think of us poor altoholics gearing out a dozen different toons
Make sure you have enough of your power cells charged up thats always annoying to have to run to the AH, then mailbox, then track down the right alter, when all you wanna do is craft that shiny new toy
Double check while you do things step by step, just like in alchemy switch one thing and who knows whats gonna happen, but whatever does it's not gonna be what you wanted. ALSO if you DO mess up and end up making the wrong thing your stuck with it there is no current way to break down green steel back to its base items, you make it your stuck with it, cant sell it to another player, cant give it to another one of your toons. So take your time and do it right the FIRST time.
My main has 2 conc-opps and a torq and it is absolutely amazing!! Getting low on mana? All the shrines have been used!! OOOH NOOOES!!! Better start chugging pots... oh wait no I can just go find a couple archers and get back ALL MY MANA for FREE, UNLIMITED times and it only takes around 2 minutes or so, assuming you have between 2-3k manaVery nice in long quests, with few shrines (think Epic ADQ1 just 1 shrine and thats only after you kill 95% of the mobs
) Just saying if you cast spells its ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT !!
The nice thing about Concordant Opposition is that 1) it "stacks" with the torc, and 2) it grants temporary hit points, which the torc doesn't.
Op, before you put Conc Opp on your helmet, consider your final gear goals carefully. There are a lot of nice helmets out there that you may not want to give up.
While you are considering your gear slots, also consider what type of build you have. Generally speaking, Concordant Opposition works best like MrFister describes - if you plan on making use of it, you need to get hit a lot.
If you're getting hit a lot, the odds are good that you'll want a lot of hitpoints. Unless you've found en extra slot to put your Greensteel hitpoint, I'd say combine the two in one.
1. +1 Con Skills, Elemental Energy (10 HP)
2. +2 Str Skills, Improved Elemental Energy (15 HP)
3. +3 Con/Str Skills, Greater Elemental Energy (20 HP) (dual-shard, one positive and the other negative)
So far, all of my Conc Opps have been the Blindness/Disease Immunity + 50 spell points + 100 spell points. However, you can get an Archmagi belt easily enough in Amrath, and the +100 spell points can be put on Dragontouched "armor" and swapped out after buffing.
Just some food for thought.

It won't take a year to complete an item. I have completed 4 items; a min2 ga, trip po maul, hp cloak and triple negative goggles all with 25 shroud completes. Most of my large ingreds came from running DA on elite and epic. Plus getting some larges from amrath. Amratrh and DA are way better sources for larges than shroud. I also pulled all four boot ingreds from DA as well.
If you have a Wizard or Sorcerer, you can also get a fair number of Shroud Larges by farming for Epic scrolls in various quests and then sell/trade them for Larges. I happen to like Party Crashers because it's easy and efficient, but lots of Epic quests are fairly straightforward to farm.
