Default Artificers Pets Trigger Lord of Blades End Fight

With the addition of all these pets one would think the scripting in quest would be smarter and not trigger and lock people out.

or you could just have the players be smarter and tell their pets to be passive.

In 5 years, I have learned a couple of things; one is you can never count on the players to be smarter and two is in any random pug you are guaranteed one idiot.

that might be a problem in VoD or HoX (speaking of, you should probably check if they bork VoD or HoX), but i hear the cannith stuff isn't a major PITA to get to anyways. recall, boot the clueless (did you really want to run the raid with that guy anyways?) and get another person. not like you can't replace an artificer with pretty much any other class in the game and not see a huge difference (unless your entire group was insane enough to believe all those paladin capstone doomsday threads and decide that they should build all their melees with the assumption they will always have an artificer around, but then again... you probably don't want *those* people in your raid either. so it all works out in the end!)

All true... It's more the point that a scripted interaction should only be triggered by player characters not pets.

I think the suggestion would be to set the default state on pets and hirelings to passive but then I imagine we still might see someone bork it.

One thing I've learned in 20 years of online gaming is that pets always screw things up in raids. Don't use them.
