    Default TR or roll new?

I wanted some advice. I have a level 17 fighter that I was planning to TR, but leveling has gotten slow. Is it better to just make a 32 point monk and skip the passive or should I tough it out to TR my fighter into a monk?

Fighter is an old 28 point build that's pretty gimpy at level 17.

If I made a new monk, it would be 32 point build. Planning to go dark monk.

    What you guys think?

17 to 20 would take a lot less than getting a new monk from 1-20 to TR again for passives and points, but wouldn't be as gimp as the fighter.

Fighter past life it´s really nice, and if you go TR, start with 34 points build (no matter that the original build was 28 pts).

    My suggest: TR it!
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

You are pretty close to cap at lvl 17 so I would wait for 20 and TR. Are you VIP? If not, what packs do you have? As a non TR you should be able to get XP pretty quick even if you have to run raids a few more times. Try Shrouding a few times and see if you can get mats for some GS - they help TR leveling quite a lot.

It's nice to have at least one level 20 character, and it's also nice to have a variety: melee, divine, arcane, something with trap skills. If you don't have any other 20s, I wouldn't TR your guy at all.

If you haven't played a monk before, I very strongly recommend you try it out on a test character before making it your second life. TRing takes a long time if you hate your character's play style, and monks are quite dissimilar to fighters.

the fighter passive PL is VERY strong on a monk. boosts the chance of all of ur monk moves by 5%, plus an additional +1 to hit

i've lvled up a first life monk, and a triple fighter life monk. and while the first one was fun, the second one was god mode. with two stuns and touch of death it was like having 3 instant kills on very short timers (up to epic anyway)
