Default Warning: DO NOT access DDOwiki via MyDDO.

I seem to be experiencing a problem with using the MyDDO in-game web browser for viewing the DDOwiki on windows XP. When I access the DDOwiki, there is a chance(Of which it is greatest on the home page) that the DDOclient will crash, meaning that it will stop, prompt you whether or not to send a error report, then exit out. Unfortunately, I never send the error reports since there's no way Microsoft would forward them to DDO, and I highly doubt theres anything useful in the technical information that would be useful for the devs to try fixing this problem.

The problem seems to be website related more than it is game-related, since I've browsed all sorts of other websites no problems, and in the past, the DDOwiki has worked well, until now. So once again: DO NOT access DDOwiki via MyDDO. You may crash, causing you to be booted from your groups as well if you are in one. In addition, if your a admin or know a admin on the DDOwiki, you may want to investigate this issue, to see if something new on the wiki is causing conflicts with the in-game web browser.

Yeah I've noticed this once or twice, as well. I thought it was just me.

    Win 7 x64 here.

I've recently been on a 3 month break, and returned about a month ago, and had that problem since my return. There was no problems before, about 4 months ago. I suspect the banner ads, without knowing much of that kind of thing.

Could be a type of banner ad that uses Flash, or some other third-party software, that MyDDO either does not support, or does not support the latest version thereof? I don't know. Like you, just guessing.

I have the same problem. Whenever I try to access the wiki through the myddo tab in game, it crashes. I have not tried other sites.

Noticed that too. That's why I started to check the wiki on the steam browser.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

I have had a similar issue, though I have to say that it is not necessarily tied directly to DDO Wiki via MyDDO.

I find that ANY sort of web browsing (DDO Store, MyDDO, Alt-Tabbing out to order a pizza online, etc.) can provoke what I call a "Zone-Out" bug.

Typically my network connection goes from green to yellow to red, and often times I am still connected to the voice and chat servers when this occurs. This is not a hard crash, but rather a slow, "oh God here it comes," connection timeout.

Details about what I experience are noted in the link in my sig below.
